Proverbs 23:7 declares, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks," declares Matthew 12:24. It further states that a good man, out of the good his heart will produce that which is good, and vice versa. In other words what you think about or dwell upon is what you will ultimately create. Jesus said in "whatsoever shall say… and not doubt in his heart…but shall believe what he says shall come to pass, shall have whatsoever he says." This can work for us or against us, depending upon what’s going into our hearts and coming out of our mouths. Here is a similar scenario that is played out in many people’s lives daily. You're having a difficult time paying your bills. You begin to worry about (think or dwell upon) how you are going to make ends meat. You get around your family and friends and all you talk about is how indebted you are. No matter what you do, your debt seems to increase. It becomes a vicious cycle. It’s like the more you think about your problems the bigger it becomes. You think about debt. (think) You talk about debt. (speak) You create debt. (manifestation) This same cycle plays out in our relationships, health, career, and every other circumstance that plagues our thoughts. Haven't you met people who seem to battle the same problems over and over. They end up in the same unhealthy relationships, make the same unhealthy choices, and end up with the same unhealthy results. Only the names, dates, and places seem to change. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (the word) was in the beginning with God." Verse 14 says that "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." It’s interesting to note how much importance God placed upon the Word. Not only did he give it a separate identity by saying "He (the Word) was with God in the beginning, God also made himself synonymous with the Word. We know from scripture that God sustains everything by his Word. Likewise, we also create our own circumstances and situations by the words we speak. If you asked most people if they were living the life of their dreams, they would say absolutely not, but in reality, we all are! The life were living is the life we created! If a thought gets in our heart and we begin to talk about it, we're going to bring that very thing to past. The logical conclusion is to just stop thinking about what we don't want to create. Right! Well yes, but for most people, it's not quite so simple because these thoughts are not passing fancies, they're actually embedded into our subconscious mind. A genuine prayer or act of turning your cares over to the Lord may work for a brief moment, but within several hours or days those debilitating and destructive thoughts make a subtle entrance into our mind again. They're like that song you just can't turn off in your head, the more you try to forget it, the worst it gets. That's because we manifest what we think about and where we focus our attention.nnChristian affirmations, literally help you to change the way you think by planting new and positive thoughts in your unconscious and conscious mind. By listening to Christian affirmations consistently you will begin to displace the old and outdated thoughts and consequently change your perspective and outlook on your circumstances. The success in using Christian affirmations is repetition. If you were to take an inventory of your thoughts, you would see that you are probably thinking the same thoughts over and over. Chances are these are the same thoughts you are thinking last week, last month, and even last year. As I stated earlier, your thoughts have created the reality you're experiencing right now. Christian affirmations will help you to keep the same biblically-based affirmations playing over and over in your mind until they begin to take root and grow. When you find yourself dwelling the same troublesome thoughts, and depression, anxiety, or other toxic emotions begin to alter your mood, repeating or listening toChristian Affirmations will attack and displace fiery darts of doubt and fear. You can play Christian affirmations in the background at a low volume while you're getting ready for work in the morning, at the office, driving in your car, doing your housework, andnfalling asleep. Before long, the affirmations will become a part of your new mental dialogue. When a destructive or negative thought tries to surface, your mind will automatically affirm God's word and it will override your old conditioning. With Christian affirmations, you're not focusing on your old thoughts, you're planting new thoughts that will eventually displace them.
