Do Human Beings Choose God?

God is spirit. The same spirit flows through all living beings. As a spark off the spirit, we see our connection to God and then to each other. We are the same energy the flows through all life.

Love is the motive and glue of the universe. God is open in love to all creation. God is patient and long suffering. He waits patiently for us to recognize the hand of creation in our lives and activities.

Our lessons of life are designed to individualize the soul of each of us. This is so we will recognize God's plan and our part within the plan.

All life is about energies. The grossest and most obvious energy we live in is the material one. Materialism motivates us to provide food, clothing, shelter as our necessities, and also other things as our wants to make life comfortable. We can be focused and absorbed by this material energy.

This gross energy overpowers and eliminates our focus on spirit while in the material body. The material body is temporary and is the part of us that dies in the fullness of our lives. The spirit remains alive and continues, carrying our soul into ete
ity.

When the gross material energy does not satisfy the soul for its spirituality, we find ourselves seeking God and spirit. We can then calm and quiet the material energy as we find the spirit energies taking our attention. This is when we have chose
God.

God was there all the time. God's love was flowing through all our activities, even as we ignored the spirit input. When we are ready to focus our attention to God, God is always ready to welcome us home.

Our relationship with God is a covenant (promise) of all good things. The spirit within is that promise of attunement with God. We have the spirit, but must also choose to live in the spirit.

Even as materialism holds sway in our lives, we realize something is missing. So when we look to the spirit, we find God within us and motivating spirituality.

The spirit that was within us is the same spirit of God. So God resides there a well. We are not God, we are a portion or spark off the spirit of love and awareness.

All life offers challenges and opportunities to live and love in the energies of life. When we focus on materialism we ignore our spirit. When we balance body, mind, spirit we have met the challenges of life with all our being - both inner and outer.

We can reach for motivation, we can reach for connection through attunement, we can reach for God in all things. This is where human beings were given free will choices to make decisions about even their source.

Something deep within is ever leading us to spirituality. We seek within for our strength and find it wanting. When we reach for God for our strength, life tends to settle into patterns of happiness and love for all.
