Are you on survival mode using all of your energy just to keep you alive? Do you have enough money to pay the rent? Have you enough food on the table? Are you happy with your job?

What comes to mind when you look at an oak tree? That it is magnificent? It got to be so because it’s root system was strong and intact, going deep into the earth to give it nourishment, support and strength. If on the other hand the tree’s roots were damaged the growth would be stunted.

Material and monetary issues are the domain of the root chakra, and if as a child your root chakra was damaged or wounded you will continue to deal with first chakra issues until they are resolved at the cellular level. How can you devote yourself to having abundance, creativity and fulfillment when you are on survival mode?

The First Energy center - Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and it is what grounds you to the earth. Energy flows from the earth into your feet, up through your legs into this chakra where it is processed into a more suitable energy for your body.

Your Root Chakra holds the energy that influences the dynamics of birth issues, survival patterns, generational patterns, money, food and health issues, grounding, and what keeps you from belonging.

The root chakra also controls the adrenal glands, and when they are over stimulated they can lead to feelings of anxiety, and fear. These emotions are energy and they all carry a vibration which can be released very easily. Allowing them to be released is the best way to bring your base chakra into balance.

When you are grounded you know that:

You have a leg to stand on
You can stand on our own two feetr
You can put our backs into itr
You are willing to stand up for what you believe inr
You are not afraid to stand up to people.

Here are some ways to bring your root chakra into balance:

1. Release the energy of the emotions that you are experiencing as they surface up, by using some release techniques.
2. Walk barefoot on the floor, grass or on the beach
3. Work in the garden. Get your hand in the soil
4. Wear the color red
5. Use grounding essential oils like vetiver, ginger, sandalwood, and patchouli by adding to your bath, or in a diffuser.
6. Gems: Red jasper, garnet, smoky quartz, obsidian, ruby, black star sapphire, red jade, all help to ground you.

Place your fist on your first Chakra, which is your groin area. Rotating your fist in a clockwise direction will energize the following truths held in your First Chakra:

I belong because I exist.
It is my blueprint to be wealthy and freer
I am clear of all energy related to my birthr
I am free of generational beliefs that hold me dow

Which step/s are you going to take to bring your root chakra into balance?
