We cannot see our energy bodies but it is there and we have to look after it with energy healing, fresh air, good food, meditation and other spiritual practises. If we ignore our energy bodies - we ignore our own well-being.

So the question is - what does ‘energy’ mean to us on a spiritual level? How did this talk of energy come about and where are we, as physical humans, in this big picture? Certainly, we regard ourselves as at the top of the food chain in day-to day life, but beyond our physical existence where exactly do we fit in?

Is it possible that just as we have an energy body that surrounds us, but which most people can’t see, there may be energy beings that are all around us, which we also cannot see?

These Beings are referred to as the the Archangels and Angels that we know from folklore and fantasy. However, these beings help us live on this planet and when we live within the Laws of Nature, everything is harmonious, but when we do not then disharmony and chaos reigns. It is not unlike the human psyche - when we are living peacefully, life tends to go well, but when we are in fear or anger, we really start having a ‘bad hair day’.

There are a number of levels within the Angelic hierarchy from the Archangels, Angels down to the Nature Spirits.

The Archangelsr
These beings do not have free choice as humans have. They are very involved with the evolution of planet earth and are the Creator’s messengers. Their primary role is to assist Life on this planet. So, the Builders of the Mineral/Earth kingdoms are the Archangels and their angel hosts including the Sylphs of ground and Air.

This mundane work is carried forth instinctively by:
Nature spirits of Earth - Gnomes and browniesr
Nature spirits of Air - Fairy and Sylph.

Vibration is a major part of this process. The ‘affinity of vibration’ draws the particular hierarchy into the appropriate field of work as form-builders in what Theosophical teachings refer to as the 4 kingdoms of Nature; Mineral-Vegetable-Animal-Human. It is not a random process it is done very precisely. Just as the formation of the human baby from a seed is really beyond our understanding, so is this formation of the planet from a vibration. However, there can be no mistakes, just as a wrong cell can have a devastating affect on a child, the formation of a planet requires even more expertise from the Builders and Architects.

Appreciating that these beings are all around us, working tirelessly to bring balance and harmony to the planet may, in the future, make us connect with them energetically, the next time we choose to hug a tree.

So, perhaps it is time to stop ignoring these energy beings who provide us with a place to live and food to eat, through their tireless work with nature and the planet. We may not be able to see them, but if we believe they are there maybe we need to start saying a silent ‘Thankyou’, when you are walking in nature and ‘something’ flips past your peripheral vision. Just as humans like to be acknowledged and not ignored - these beings are no different.

Recently, my wife and I went on vacation, and I had to explain to my nine year-old son why it was just the two of us going. I explained that mom and I needed time for just the two of us, just like he and I spend father and son time.

How many times do you just wolf-down your meal in a mad rush to finish before getting back to work? How many times are you eating out of obligation to just eat? How many times do you see undigested food in your stool? Gross, I know! Do you have food allergies? If you answered “Yes” to any of these questons it is likely you need to retrain yourself in how to eat on purpose. 1. Maintain regular and consistent mealtimes. It is better to eat five smaller meals than three large meals.

Children are to a degree necessarily imbalanced. They are in a constant state of change. Children seek to discover the limits of their control over their environment. What has become known as childhood infectious illnesses are the training ground of achieving and maintaining balance in their life as an adult. The ability to react appropriately to stimuli is a learning process. If a lion comes up and bites you, you should bleed! If a child is challenged by microbes their body should react appropriately by producing a fever and the lymph nodes should be activated.

I was just a young doctor when I first toured the Heidelberg Castle in Germany. As is the case in many castles in Europe the narrow passage was dank and poorly lit. What light there was cast eerie shadows on the carefully placed stones that made up the walls leading to the alchemy lab. A sign on the wall read “No Photographs May Be Taken of the Alchemy Lab!” It struck me as odd at the time, that one could take pictures of any other room in the monstrously large Heidelberg Castle, just not this one.
