Liberation From Your Unwanted Emotional States

The path to liberation is an ongoing process of moving forward on your path to remove the obstacles to your inner peace and self-knowledge. The obstacles on this journey can be as diverse as your mind can imagine. Yet it is not until you are solidly grounded in your body and the world that real progress can be made and most importantly maintained.
Achieving a meaningful sense of peace and freedom can be easy after an inspiring meditation, a class, workshop or some personal reading or work you do. Yet the true work only begins once you have an experience of this. Now that you have a reference to how you can shift states and feel differently, your efforts must be devoted to strengthening and maintaining it.
This inner work entails the continued excavation of the wrong-minded beliefs and strategies that were constructed to direct you in your life. Real transformation is NOT redecorating your home putting pink paint over rusting pipes and adhesive tape on frayed wires. Transformation is about deconstructing the very core foundation of who you had become and practiced living as up until this moment so you can replace the wobbly foundation and build an empowering self that is built on the immovable Rock of Truth , fueled by the Light of Knowledge and fed by the Space of Love.
The rock we all stand on is the Earth and we do so in the body we are given to operate in thus existence. Through our legs we are rooted in Mother Earth to absorb her energy and bring into manifestation the Light of Knowledge in which the Light and Space extend through us and as us. This grounding is essential FIRST and FOREMOST as it provides the dynamic interchange of power . If we aren’t solidly connected and make contact with where we stand in this world in an empowering way, we lose our center, easily fly off the handle and feel the rug constantly being pulled out from under us. This is what I call being properly contained in a strong embodied posture that can easily support and handle any internal or exte
al energy they are subject to. This is what Key Three is all about.
Without a personal sense of being safety rooted in your lives, you will have a poorly integrated understanding. With no legs to stand upon you will then live in a fantasy world inside the mind. This causes you to make demands on the world to try and use the magical thinking of “All I need to do is think it and it will manifest! “ This may very well be possible at the highest levels of self realization and power, but for human existence the thinking must be combined with a burning desire, total commitment ,an effective strategy and plan to implement it, as well as daily progress through consistent action every day!
Being grounded is the key ability to have, contain, implement and maintain any of the empowering states with any consistency. This is why building a firm financial base is so important as it provides a safety net to allow one stability to move forward without constant fear to one’s survival. Most difficulties and inability to maintain heightened states for those on a spiritual path are because they aren’t grounded enough to handle the lightening their strong emotions combined with the world’s unpredictable and often stormy winds. I remember speaking with Dr Alexander Lowen the founder of Bioenergetics before he died. He told me that he feels spirituality is making our body a temple that feels the movement of aliveness and allows Life’s passion to be our guide.
Dr. Lowen really walked his talk and at 95 he was swinging his hips side to side with a huge smile on his face and doing somersaults daily to stay limper and flexible.
Being firmly grounded in the body and connected to the earth is a first step before dealing with stress, conflict or unwanted emotional conditions. Even a Course in Miracles reminds us the “Sanity is returned through the body.” Formative Psychology and yoga asana practice all helps you build a vessel to sail in any sea under any conditions comfortable containing its passages and cargo safely.
Why not begin to share the step by steps path of climbing you ladder of liberation by providing yourself new possibilities

I decided to write an article about getting things done and not worrying about perfection and found myself in need of my own advice... I like to think that I subscribe to the idea that "good enough" is good enough. Sure it's important to do a good job and make sure there are no major mistakes or omissions but for the most part get it done and get it out.

Are you an information hoarder?
Have you seen the show Hoarders, Buried Alive? Many people are entranced by it. It’s reminds me of when you drive down the road and pass an accident… it’s hard to turn away. I’ve heard people say that they are amazed at how “those people” live. Can’t “they” understand the difference between what’s junk and what’s not? How can “they” save all that stuff? What were “they” thinking as they accumulated all of it? Did “they” really think they would use it? How can “they” live that way? Don’t “they” know when enough’s enough?
