Addiction Recovery Programs Take on Many Forms

Trying to choose the right addiction recovery program these days can be really confusing. The field has exploded with options. It’s always difficult to know what to do in a time of crisis. It’s also difficult to sort through the overwhelming amount of information out there about the different philosophies and methods in addiction treatment and addiction recovery today. That is one of the reasons we like to talk with you directly about our program at The Sanctuary at Sedona. We are very different than the other options you will come across and we want you to be fully informed about what to expect if you choose us.

You will notice that we are a non-12 Step holistic addiction recovery program. This separates us out very quickly in the minds of most people–especially if this is not the first recovery effort someone has made. The more commonplace notion of addiction recovery involves 12 Step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. Addiction programs have traditionally used these as the basis of their work. While they are exceptionally helpful for a great many people, we have not built our program upon them. We have sought to fill in the gaps and cracks through which a great many people have fallen. We have asked ourselves why so many people have been unsuccessful in their attempts to recover. Our answers lie in the concept of holistic addiction treatment and recovery.

Just as the abundance of treatment options available today is confusing, so are the overall concepts of holistic treatment and holistic recovery. Most people think of a few ‘alte
ative’ modalities as what a holistic program offers. They might think of an emphasis on diet or meditation, for example. Our holistic protocol involves both, but we believe that we have stayed true to the real meaning of holistic addiction recovery. We also believe that our program is the benchmark of that paradigm. We haven’t just added some interesting alte
atives, we have taken the bigger vision—the whole person and the whole picture of what someone needs in order to fully recover from addiction. Addiction is a whole person, whole life condition. It has to be met on every level that it manifests. We don’t know of any other program in the world that does what we do.

We welcome you to contact us for more information and are always happy to discuss our program with you. We also would like to invite you to learn more about us on our YouTube channel. There you can browse through our library of information and hear members of our clinical team discuss our non-12 Step holistic addiction recovery program in greater depth. We cover our philosophy of addiction, our view of recovery and the specifics of our program.

We know that addiction is an urgent and profound matter in the lives of addicts and those who love them. We have endeavored to present what we can offer clearly and in detail so you can make an informed decision. Please contact us if you would like more information.
