SHARING SOME PRINCIPLES FOR SUCCESS IN WORK AND IN LIFEn nby Dr Andrew Eastcott and Craig Lockn
Intro:
This piece (a joint collaboration in point form for ease ofnreading) is written from the many deep and fascination discussions Andynand I have had about our life purposes and what success means toneach of us. We are sharing these thoughts in the spirit of encouraging nothers "out there" in cyberspace to think about their lives and what YOU nwant out of your personal jou
ey. Enjoy...

The first step on the stair-case to success is DEFINITENESS OFnPURPOSE. Develop a definite plan for its achievement, a chiefnaim in life - a mission. Must be backed by ACTIVE FAITH ("faithnwithout works is dead"). Doing this produces positive results.
Persistent continuous action towards its attainmentn
Think of the person you intend to become and develop a clea
mental picture. Use autosuggestion or repeated affirmations.

Enlist the co-operation of others: Develop a "mastermindnalliance" with people who have a common aim...and with thosenwhose skills you do not possess.

Recognise the existence of God, Infinite Intelligence, Grand Designer, Great Spirit, Who gives order to the universe.

APPLIED FAITH

DEVELOP A PLEASING PERSONALITY (must be the only thing that ngets me out my frequent holes in the "deep smelly brown stuff").

DEVELOP THE HABIT OF LEARNING FROM DEFEAT:
"Every adversity carries the seed of an equivalent benefit." n- Napoleon Hilln
Keep the mind open at all times for guidance from within.

Other keys are:n n* Creative Visionn n* Personal Initiaven n* Accurate Thinkingn n* Self Discipline Your watchword must be PERSISTENCE.n n* Concentration of Endeavour = definiteness of purpose.n n* Enlist the Co-Operation of others - you can't do it alone!n n* Enthusiasmn
Good health - it's a habit of developing a "health consciousness"n n* Budgeting time and moneyn n* Applied wisdom The Golden Rule" applied: "Do unto others, asnyou would have them do unto you." this is the basic principle i

ALL religions of the world. Develop the habit of going the extranmile for others - service.

Your state of mind is everything, so take possession of you
mind.

TAKE ACTION every day towards your quest. Even small steps daily.

N.B: Your life jou
ey should be built upon the principles ofntruth and justice.

No matter your chosen field of endeavour,

eyndown the river of life."

"Success to others may be apparent in what you DO; but nsignificance, meaning and purpose lies, then reveals itself in nwhat you ARE and BECOME down the 'river of life' - how and the nspirit with which you face, then overcome the daily obstacles, nthe frequent trials and tribulations along the often rocky npath-way of life's magical and mysterious jou
ey. Light your npath brightly." n- craig Lock
