Every day gives us a new start and the opportunity of a New You.
When you look back at yesterday, last month and last year, you might realize you did not accomplish all your goals, and you might make the decision to try harder. But wait, before you try harder and do more of the same, let me share with you a wonderful story from Price Pritchett’s marvelous book, You 2.
“There’s a small fly burning out the last of its short life’s energies in a futile attempt to fly through the glass of the windowpane. The whining wings tell the poignant story of the fly’s strategy – try harder. But it’s not working.
The frenzied efforts offer no hope for survival. Ironically, the struggle is part of the trap. It is impossible for the fly to try hard enough to succeed at breaking through the glass. Nevertheless, this little insect has stacked its life on reaching its goal through raw effort and determination. The fly is doomed. It will die there on the windowsill.
Across the room, ten steps away the door is open. Ten seconds of flying time and this small creature could reach the outside world it seeks. With only a fraction of the effort now being wasted, it could be free of this self-imposed trap. The breakthrough possibility is there, it would be so easy.“
You see, just “trying harder” is not always the solution to achieve your goals and lasting success. Ask yourself, where is your door opening? Where is your breakthrough that you can reach with just a fraction of effort?
How can you step back and look for the opening instead of being exhausted, frustrated and overwhelmed by “flying against the window” over and over? What can you do differently tomorrow? More importantly – what WILL you do differently in the future?

Your “opening to fly through” is here. Every day is a new day and everything starts all over, we have our opportunity to begin again.
To breakthrough you have to shift gears and follow new patterns of thought and actions. It’s time to break away from limiting beliefs and habitual actions because they determine your results. And they have not been paying off for you, have they?
Start today and identify one to two habits that have not served you in achieving your goals and make the decision to transform them now. What habits have been holding you back?
Identify the “non-productive” habits and what you will do differently. Write down the goal-oriented, “productive” habits you are going to commit to and start to act on it now.
By changing one or two habits, it will have an astounding impact on your success, you will be amazed by the magnificent changes you will experience and the amazing results.
