3 Reasons To Breathe New Life Into Your Archived Blogs

You spend a lot of time each week writing blogs and articles. They are a great way to generate interest and traffic to your website.
All of the top blogger’s tell us you need to blog at least 2-3 times a week especially if you are trying to generate revenue with your blog.
If you are an entrepreneur and you are blogging 2-3 times a week, that’s great! Especially if that’s your business, but not everyone has the time to do that and it can get frustrating.
It’s not always easy coming up with new content. Not only that, but unless you are submitting each of your blogs to various blogging sites and Social Media sites as well as creating different formats, the life of your blog is about 1 day, 2 at the most. That’s a lot of effort.
Let’s face it, people are not going to go to your website and start browsing through your archives. Really, they won’t. Well, okay, I’ve done it a couple of times because of the projects I was working on for a client, but it’s not something I do because I want to and neither does anyone else. It’s a shame really because there is so much great content just sitting there, collecting ‘virtual dust’ if you will.
Now, you’ve probably written some great blogs and for whatever reason, they didn’t get as much exposure as you had hoped or thought they would. A lot depends on timing, who sees it, comments, etc. On that note, here are 3 reasons to breathe new life into your archived blogs:
1. You can get more exposure. Repurpose them into different formats and submit them to other sites. Also, if you have new followers, they may not have seen it before.
2. Update the content. Things change and so does your point of view and knowledge. Links may no longer be valid, so if there are any in your post, check to make sure they still work.
3. Tweet content in the blog, not just the title. This way, you can tweet more often without looking like you are posting the same thing over and over.
Remember, not everyone reads every blog post they see and not everyone remembers every single blog you have written.
Here is a bonus reason: Not everyone that reads your blogs get’s your ezine and not everyone that gets your ezine, reads your blog. It’s a great way to repurpose your content, especially when you put so much time and effort into writing.
These are some great ways to get more mileage from your posts, more exposure and drive some traffic to your website, not to mention save you some time and saving time is always good.
