Ever wish you could peer into the mind of a millionaire? Imagine how lucrative life would be if you mastered their secrets, adopted their habits, and lived by the cardinal rules that enabled them to make their millions.

Below are some of the best secrets and strategies of self-made millionaires, as collected by Brian Koslow, a best-selling author, international entrepreneur, and acclaimed wealth coach.

Remember- not all millionaires are geniuses, inventors, scholars, or trust fund babies. Many are ordinary people like you and me who have mastered the secrets of success.

1. You establish your credibility within the first 3 seconds of meeting someone

We’ve all heard that first impressions are everything, and this couldn’t be more accurate in the business world. No matter which medium you’re conducting your business through, the person on the other end will be assessing your credibility.

Credibility is essential to any business relationship. Clients, partners, and investors are constantly determining credibility to determine whether they want to do business with you. The results you receive from a business exchange are a direct result of the credibility you create, usually within the first three seconds.

It’s a scary concept, but it’s also an invaluable tool if you know how to use it.

Millionaires know that everything they say, do, and communicate through body language, appearance, and tone are being assessed every minute. Knowing this enables them to consciously demonstrate credibility in order to drive results.

2. The right mindset can be the difference between unprecedented success and catastrophic failure

Millionaires know that the right mindset of beliefs can transform you into an unstoppable moneymaking machine. At the same time, a mindset littered with negative beliefs can be powerful enough to stop you in your tracks.

The good news is that these crucial mindsets are composed from a set of beliefs that are entirely made up. We develop them over time, becoming accustomed to their unconscious yet influential existence. While these deeply rooted beliefs are far from easy to transform, we are entirely capable of doing it.

It’s not that millionaires and successful people never have a negative belief. They’re just better at identifying, understanding, and transforming them into beliefs that are better geared toward success. If you learn how to discard harmful beliefs and adopt beneficial ones, achieving your goals will be a much smoother and more enjoyable process.

3. Rejection is a positive experience

Your ability to evaluate rejection determines your personal and professional growth. To a highly successful person, rejection isn’t a personal affront. It’s a means of developing an improved relationship with the messenger and a better understanding of their own product, service, or idea.

Millionaires learn to adopt the belief that rejection is simply a valuable lesson that contributes to their personal and professional development. They do not grow disheartened or discouraged; they learn to channel their frustration into a newfound determination to improve their communication skills or the idea itself.

Above all else, millionaires learn to conquer self-rejection. Self-rejection is amongst the most catastrophic of all personal and professional mistakes. When you are fully capable of validating yourself, you learn to take rejection from others with a grain of salt and use it to push forward to success.
These lessons and more time-proven strategies for success can be explored in Brian’s new book Self-Made: Generate Your Wealth Like a Millionaire! or you can receive them with a subscription to our Daily Millionaire ThoughtsTM newsletter.
