When confronted with a frustrated situation, you can choose to allow it overwhelm you or to transform it into creative opportunities and unlock the power to succeed. In dealing with frustration it is imperative that you look at your situation with a new perspective this one single act can change and turn your frustrations into possibility of success, happiness and new expectations.

To win the fight against frustration and create a pathway to freedom you must be persistent and take massive action in the direction of your anticipated expectation. The following simple proven strategies will assist you in dealing with frustration:

Use of Affirmation: In dealing with frustration you need to use positive affirmation. You see words are powerful. Words are carriers. They either make you or break you. It is very easy to talk yourself down and indulge in activities that will sabotage your efforts when you are not achieving your expectations. Therefore, when dealing with frustration you must overcome the tendency of negative affirmation or self-talk, instead use positive affirmation to keep you focus on your objectives. You do not have to repeat and dwell on the negative things or situation in your life but you’ve got to speak to where you want to be, the things you’d like to attract into your life.

Focus on the positive outcomes: Focus on positive outcomes is a simple but powerful strategy for dealing with frustration. You need to understand that sometimes there are outcomes in your life that are not exactly what you are expecting; know that this is part of life process. However you have to decide and be determined to focus on the positive outcomes in your life irrespective of the temporary detours at all cost so as to stay on top of your game.

Read good books: You have to read books that will motivate and support your expectations. This will spur you into action and keep you motivated and inspired to do what you need to do in times of frustration. In these books lie strategies that you can apply as you are dealing with frustration. Jim Rohn is quoted as saying: “the books you did not read cannot help you. It’s of importance that you read books related to subject matter of interest to you.

Build a support system of trusted allied: You must not walk this road alone, you must build a support system of trusted allied. These are individuals of like mind that you can trust them to support you when you are dealing with frustration, they can brainstorm with you in finding lasting solutions to the challenges that you confront.

Unfortunately, frustrations are part of life and we are all confronted with it at one point or the other. Dealing with frustration is all about not yielding to this emotional dysfunction but learning to transform frustrations into creative opportunities so they don’t leave you stressed, burned-out or depressed as you navigate through the corridors of life.
