Lucid dreaming otherwise known as conscious dreaming is when you are aware that you are dreaming as well as aware of what is taking place within your dreams and lucid enough to be able to control them. You may have had brief instances of this but to actually have a true lucid dream takes practice. Below are five easy techniques that have been proven to help any person achieve the lucid dreaming state. 5 Tips for Lucid Dreaming 1. The majority of the work towards lucid dreaming occurs before you ever fall asleep. To start off choose an object that you see every single day such as a ring for example. Each day when you get up from your sleep take not of your ring. Notice the shape, the design, the colours and every detail about it. 2. As you go about your day start noticing other people’s rings and compare their shape and design to your own. Focus on these rings all day long. You can even spend a couple of minutes each day sitting with your eyes closed thinking about your ring. Rings will become a part of your consciousness and eventually part of your subconscious. Now every time you see a ring immediately pinch your arm. Do this consistently for several days as this will train your brain to associate seeing a ring with pinching your arm. In this way you are premeditating what action will come next in your dream. 3. Before you know it you will be dreaming about rings. However you will notice that the ring in your dream looks different from the one you wear everyday. You may feel confused as this ring is different from the one you trained your mind to see and at this point your mind will realize that you must be dreaming. 4. Know your goal before you start to dream. If there are certain experiences that you wish to have within your dreams then you need to think of them and plan them before you fall asleep. Once you are clear with your goal you will be able to remind yourself what you want to experience while you are dreaming. 5. Besides the above four steps there is one more thing you can use to help achieve lucid dreams quickly and easily. Using an external stimulus such as binaural beats has shown to greatly increase your chances of having a lucid dream. Brainwave audios such as binaural beats work with your brain frequencies in order to help you experience the exact right frequency state for conscious dreaming. Taking control of your dreams is within your power. Believe it or not the above techniques have been known to work. Repeated action is the best way to train your brain to dream about a subject of choice. Incorporate an external stimulus such as binaural beats and you will be well on your way to some great lucid dreams!
