It is so important to have a landing page that is going to help direct potential customers to your website. To have a landing page, you need to be able to create one. You can do this either by using web designing software, or by hiring a professional web designer for the job. If you are doing business online, you should have a really great landing page, and here are five things that every landing page should have: Keep It Simple: It is true that a little can go a long way, and that you can have too much, and this includes information and other things on your landing page. Don't make it so flashy that it just bombards the senses. This is just annoying, and is going to drive people away. Don't have too much text, keep the page uncluttered, and don't have too much in the way of graphics, except for those that are necessary. Keeping it simple will make the landing page more attractive to readers, and it will make it a lot easier to create and maintain. Have Copy That Works: You can't write about just anything on your landing page. You need to have really effective copy that is going to capture and hold the attention of your readers, and make them want to learn more. Have excellent product descriptions that use key words that will make your page appear higher on search engines. Use a call-to-action to find out if people really are reading your content, or if you have to make changes to make it better. Testimonials Help You To Gain Trust: Customer testimonials are a great way to get others interested in what you are selling, but these days, a simple written testimonial may not always be good enough. If your customers are up for it, get them to make video testimonials, so others can actually see the people who are happy with your products or services. Don't make things up. Use real people, and whenever possible, their real names. If you are able, add email addresses, so your potential customers can talk with current customers to get the lowdown on your business. Make the Checkout Process Simple: A lot of websites are set up so that checkout is a long and drawn out process, and this is something that will keep people from coming back to do business with you again. But, don't make it so easy that you can't do a little bit of cross-selling before the sale is completed. Find a happy medium, and you and your customers will all be happy with the whole process. Don't forget to be up front about shipping rates. Have Guarantees, and Logos People Trust: If you have a Better Business Bureau logo or a Trust Seal or something similar, you are going to be doing a lot to gain the trust of potential customers. When they can see that yours is a business that can be trusted, they will be more apt to buy from your website. Also offer an unconditional money-back guarantee to really cement that sense of trust, and you will be getting many more sales than your competition that doesn't offer such a guarantee.
