Believe it or not we are in the era of Social Marketing. Marketing as we used to know it is all about products and consumerism. Social Marketing is about selling ideas, behaviors and attitudes. Sound familiar? All speakers, trainers, coaches, NLP practitioners, EFT practitioners, healers, light workers, etc, they all sell ideas that are to benefit as many people as possible. Although Social Marketing is essentially the same as traditional marketing, it aims to create a movement, a global awareness and global call to action. The 4 P’s of marketing are the 5 I’s of Social Marketing and they are:

1. Intelligencer
In order to become known and influential (prerequisites to making really good money in your business these days), you need to know your numbers. Pretty scary, huh? You need to know who’s your target, what they like, where they are on the internet, who do they speak to, whom they like, whom they don’t like.

2. Insightr
There’s a huge shift into what online marketing consists of now. It’s no longer – marketing and then sales. It’s now about branding and relationship building. You need to pay attention what your potential clients and clients are saying when you are not there, again, using technology masterfully.

3. Ideationr
This is what I call Business Strategies. In essence – a select collection of great ideas how to run your small business: from how to engage with your audience, to how to convert prospects into clients, and how to do content marketing: with videos, articles, etc. One million dollar idea is just not enough any more. You need a few more to create an execution plan for the idea and, of course, to execute it.

4. Interactionr
Social Media interaction has become completely different from face-to-face interaction and for good or bad – is used increasingly more: from text messaging to tweeting. The online consumer is different from the consumer in the mall. The online consumer gives feedback, and reads reviews on the product before they buy: they are empowered with opinion that influences the sales.

5. Influence
You are no longer the influencer just because you have a huge list of followers. You are an influencer if you stir up conversations. You are also an influencer if you team up with other influencers and have them introduce you to their networks …behold, behold… through sharing information about you and your product and by inviting you to the conversations.
