One of the best ways to create very high quality blogs is to add relevant images to your blog posts. Quality blogs with images are known to appeal to readers more than blog posts without any images on them. Adding images have been found to have a number of benefits and contributes immensely to the success of a website.

Some of these benefits are outlined below. Note: Most of the small businesses I work with do not write blog posts that specifically promote their products or services (they use sales pages), but I have included the benefits for that purpose for those of you that do.

1. Website Traffic

Studies by experts in the online business have shown that blog posts with images attract about 94% more page views as against posts without any images on them. We all know the importance of website traffic and page views when it comes to blogging. It is the number of page views a blog gets that determines the success of that blog on the Internet.

If including an image in a blog post will make it more appealing and attractive to a larger number of website visitors, then an image is indispensable in every good and effective blog. Just make sure the image is relevant to your written content.

2. Search Engines

According to studies, blog posts that have images on them tend to show up in search engines more than those with no images on them. It is estimated that about 60% web users are more likely to get in touch with a company when the image on their blogs appears in search results.

3. Trust

Most people tend to believe what they can see in the images you post in your blogs rather than text alone. Adding blog images to your posts will help your readers relate more to what you are writing about if they can "see" what the written content is about.

4. Higher Engagements

Including relevant images to your blog posts have been found to lead to higher engagement with your website visitors. Blog images will always go further than plain texts and links can ever go in building relationships with your audience through more customer engagements on your page.

5. Conversions

If your blog post is specifically about your products or services, you need very sharp and attractive images of the products or services you are promoting. It has been found that about 65% of customers will more than likely make a purchase if images are included. If there is no image, a visitor to your website may question the quality of the product or service you are offering.

These are some important reasons to include relevant images to your blog posts. Adding images will help increase your website traffic AND build those relationships with your regular visitors, which can help make your business successful!

Note: Please remember that if you are not using your own image, you need to get permission from the owner and properly document your source.

As I drove by a billboard on the side of the freeway indicating what the jackpot is this week, it occurred to me that many people who win the lottery actually end up with numerous problems that didn't exist prior to winning.
