5 Reasons Why You Are Stuck in Your Business
Written by Tsvetanka Petrova
Sometimes it’s not the motivation, it’s not the lack of resources: energy, time, money; it’s not the economy, our experience or not knowing what you did that got you into a dead-end situation. Here are the 5 other reasons to be stuck in your business:
1. Expecting perfection, falling into guilt shame regretr
There are only two kinds of entrepreneur: those who look into every single detail – the logo, the picture, the design of the site, the perfect product, the perfect sales page, etc. And there are those who – just take money making actions every single say. Guess whose bank account is full with new checks at the end of the month?
2. Trying to do it all on your ownr
The problem with that is there’s a lot of work. If you’re just starting out everything out there that needs to be done is waiting for you. But the problem is: this is your business and as a business owner your goals are only two – cut costs and make more money. The only way you can make more money is if you and a couple more people work on getting more clients in your business.
3. Telling yourself self-defeating storiesr
I recently got introduced to a very nice your man, very social, very outgoing and outspoken. But, what he shared with me to be his biggest obstacle was …. he is shy and not enough social, because his parents told him so. Can you believe it? He certainly does. The question is: what kind of stories are you believing in? And, how do they sabotage your business.
4. Not having back up plans
I’m not talking about a pla
B if your business fails but a pla
C if your backup plan fails and a pla
D if the back-up of the back-up fails. You need to be absolutely sure that there is no way you can fail. All the options on the table are defined to you and you have clear strategies what to do. For example, do you plan to sell your company, to bring a partner, to make a franchise, etc.
5. Turning slip-ups into give-ups
Whatever step you take – there will be mistakes. If you don’t want to make any mistakes, this statement is already a mistake, a mistake to believe that everything will go smoothly or according to plan. What you need to have in place is: when I fail, what will make me come back up – stronger than ever? Is it my child, is it my family, is it the credit card debt I am in… What is the reason?
