5 Steps to Ensure Successful Outbound Calls
Written by Matt Hallaran
Cold calls were named appropriately because of the nature of introduction. But the call itself doesn’t have to be so cold when you take the right steps to execute it. Outbound lead generation is an art that companies have attempted to perfect. And through the many years of experience, we at Sidekiiks, have learned that outbound sales calls were best done when our agents followed these five simple steps:
1. Sift through the hay stack. Quality leads don’t come over night. You have to sift through what you have and pick out the leads that are worthy of your time and effort. Remember, you want the right clients responding to your services. So make sure you go through your lists properly.
2. Know your prospects. Choosing quality leads gives you the responsibility to do thorough research on the client you want to convince. Find out what their goals are, what their company values, and how your services will work best for what they desperately need. Do you think they could use significant improvement? How?
3. Warm introductions. Break the ice and introduce yourself in such a way that will have them welcome your pitch. Make a direct introduction of your name, your business, and your solution. Your introduction may also include a snapshot of your research and how their company’s needs can be addressed.
4. Use a third party story. Clients that seek business process outsourcing partners will ask for a client base and ask you for the figures. But instead of having them dig up this information, we suggest that you take the initiative to do so. This will show them how dedicated you are and your success rate in the market.
5. Make an offer. Finally, it’s time to make them an offer they can’t refuse. Throw in a freebie and encourage them to seek you.
The five steps to successful outbound calling have proven helpful to the Sidekiiks staff. If you have any questions, be sure to contact us so we can help you.
