Everybody is given a bank account of 24 hours a day. The empowering idea is that we get to choose how we are going to spend that account. One of the best anecdotes for creating a great day starts the moment you wake up in the morning. One of the few things we do have control over is our thoughts. We can think thoughts of resentment and pessimism. Or we can think thoughts of gratitude and optimism.
1. Make a list of 10 things you are grateful for. …..This is not as big as it seems, especially first thing in the morning. Examples: I am grateful for my bed, my home, my clothes, my car, my health, my family, my dog, my job, my friends, living in the United States.
2. Take 10 deep breaths. Breathing stimulates oxygen and blood flow in the body and gets you in touch with your life force.
3. Write in a journal. This is a priceless tool that can help you get in touch with your unconscious self. This will provide valuable information for you to how to navigate your energy for the day.
4. Put on music that inspires you and gets you energized. Excuse the pun, but this a great way to start your day out on a good note. You will feel the vibrations of the music in your body and mind all day long. When I am looking to feel energized I put on James Brown’s “I Feel Good”.
5. Feel the air. Open a window or door and feel the air on your face take in the scenery and see it in a new light. As if you had seen it for the first time. The fresh sense of awe and appreciation. Most importantly to reflect on the untapped, limitless opportunities of the day.

About the Author
For Jodi Michele Cooley life has been the best educator for her. All the training and degrees are great sources of information, but nothing compares to her hands on experience. She grew up in a family plagued by the disease of alcoholism and she was the primary caretaker of her disabled mother. She has first hand knowledge of the crippling affects of emotional and verbal abuse.
In 1998 she was introduced to the work of Louise L. Hay, bestselling author for over 20 years of “You Can Heal Your Life” and became a facilitator of her work and workshops. Over the years Jodi has coached hundreds of people and presented several different workshops. Inspired by the life altering work she was doing she came up with her own technique called the “Feel It Thru Method”.
Her tag line is "It's never too late to reclaim your life". She herself has been working on reclaiming her authentic self for over 15 years and continues to uncover and discover things about herself striving for all the gifts that life has to offer on this earth. Bottom line, she says herself “I want to get my money's worth while I am on this planet and I want to share with others the tools and techniques I've used to live a better life.”

This is the time to be positive and avoid negative thinking at all costs. Negative thoughts will ruin your life. Instead, fill your mind with positive thoughts. Today and everyday think of all the great things that are taking place in your life. I'm not saying this just because it's the start of a new work week.
