If you have a bike and you are going to use it to commute, these are some useful tips to remember: Wear bright clothes. These clothes do not have to be the clothes that you are going to wear to work. You can wear a bright-colored jacket that you can remove when you get to your office. Be confident about riding. One of the mistakes that people make is they become too afraid of using the lane that is designed specifically for them. Ride comfortably and remember that you have the right to be in that lane. Do not forget to follow the road rules. The rules are there for a reason. They are meant to help you become safer when you are out riding on the road. While it is true that not everyone will follow the road rules, you can be a good example by making sure that you follow your own rules. It will make a lot of difference that way. Always wear safety gear. You may be riding your bike in one of the safest cities in the world but you have no way of knowing what is going to happen next. It is best that you wear your safety gear which may include your helmet, the right clothing, and even the right shoes. This may actually save you from harm. Do not forget your hygiene. Biking to work can make you feel hot and sweaty. It may not give off the best impression especially when you have a meeting at work. It is best that you invest in some hygiene products that will help you feeling and smelling fresh even after the commute. Do not bike too fast. There is no point in biking too fast especially when you are not late going to work. Zipping past that red light will only cause some problems and you do not want that especially at this time.
