8 Compelling Reasons for the Heart Based Solopreneur to Run a Free Teleseminar

When two participants in my coaching group asked how to go about putting on a teleseminar last week and I went through the same explanation twice, it was a clear signal that it was time to share a module giving the whole group a step by step formula on just how to do that. It was great information for me too as to what to share with you today. Listening to the questions and goals of my clients is a great source of content for my blog and e-zine and is for you too! BONUS TIP: Constantly give your ideal clients the solution they are looking for and they will stay engaged and at some point buy or refer to you. So, the place I decided to start was to inspire the group as much as I possibly could, by giving them my list of why teleseminars serve as an incredibly powerful tool for the business of a solopreneur; a.k.a. the benefits of teleseminars to a solopreneur. And I thought it would be an eye opener to you too, as to just what is possible from running a simple free teleseminar. But before jumping into that, I want to make sure you know what a “teleseminar” is! The teleseminar Basically it is a class or workshop that is run via a teleconferencing service. Your listeners will be able to dial in by telephone or Skype, or listen via their internet service, whether that is on their PC, mobile telephone, iPad, etc. The structure and content of a teleseminar can be very varied, but the basic objective of a free teleseminar is to be informative, educational and engaging for your audience. You can run a teleseminar live whereby you can interact with your listeners if you choose to, or you can record it and schedule it to air at a specific date and time. Either way, the benefits I am sharing with you apply to both. So here they are; 8 simple benefits to running free teleseminars 1. Leveraging your time – one to many – it is the most efficient way I know (after video) to reach a global audience; there are no limits to who you can connect with. 2. Leveraging your time – create your “signature” teleseminar just ONCE (one piece of work) and take it to your partner’s lists time and time again for more impact. 3. Leveraging your time – re-purpose for blogs, newsletters, tweets, FB posts, etc. 4. Leveraging your time – Creation of free gift. The recording can be used by you as a free giveaway on your website for list building (see number 8) along with a written transcription. And/or you can offer it to colleagues as a gift they can give away as a bonus – make sure all your details are on there. 5. Education and connection/relationship building – a really easy way to connect and build relationships with our ideal clients, by giving them value through education. 6. Opportunity to demonstrate your wisdom/knowledge/skills – a showcase for you to give a taster session of what it is like to work with you and leave them wanting more. This will lead to recommendations/raise your profile in your field, plus ……… 7. Opportunity to up-sell – one of the main purposes of any free teleseminar to up-sell your programmes/products/services/free sessions, etc. 8. List building – asking people to sign-up i.e. giving you their email address in return for access to your free teleseminar. This means you are collecting names with permission to build a relationship with them via your newsletter, etc. You must make it clear when they sign-up for your free teleseminar that they will be subscribed to your list, if not this is called spamming, not something you want to be accused of!
