I am amazed at how easy it is to have instant access to information about more things tha
I could ever possiby use. We all experience information overload these days. Technology is a double edged sword. You can learn about anything you want, but what is all that information doing for you? Nothing!!-- that is what information does for us!! Information is educational, but information and education by themselves don't produce usable results. Taking action consistently is the only way to achieve usable and noticeable results in anything!! We have more than enough information on how to lose weight and be healthy, but I still live in a city that is in the top five, for people that are obese. The only logical explanation for this is that people are not taking consistent actions. People have plenty of excuses for not taking action, but for evey excuse maker that I see, I also see someone who took action and got noticeable results! One of my favorite quotes is actually from a Star Wars movie where Yoda says--"Do or do not--there is no try" That sums up my point perfectly. You either take action, or you don't. That brings me to my next point, of how much action is necessary to achieve noticeable results, with anything. In all my 20 years of experience with training people on how to get in shape and lose weight, I realized the secret to their success was this--90 days!! What do I mean by that? It has been well researched, documented and proven over and over again, that it takes approximately 90 days to form new ,positive, results producing habits. It also takes 90 days to make noticeable and dramatic transformations in any area of your life. Have you noticed that the most successful exercise and diet programs are marketed for 90 days? The reason for that is this-- if you take action consistently for 90 days, you will get rid of old, negative habits that are detrimental, and form new positive, results producing habits. Now you realize that it doesn't take very long to have noticeable results, and achieve your goals, but it does require-- doing. There is no such thing as trying.Be patient, consistent--and most important--find your passion, and get started!!!!
