As time goes by we find ourselves shaking our heads in disbelief more often. It has begun, a time to mou
the loss of our yester years. Our familiarities are fading away with the dawn of each new day. People are changing, the job market has changed, the housing industry has changed; leaving us wonder what to think.
We mou
our past; the days of innocence and simplicity. I am open to change and am receptive to new ideas, but our present state leaves more questions than answers. I pray we get back on the right path for our generations to come.
Going to school meant a day of learning. A drill consisted of sitting in the hall with your hands clasped behind your head, covering for protection against pending danger. Our danger has a new meaning; it means we need protection in our schools and malls.
We can only control our own actions. There might be one factor or many factors that attribute to our current state of panic. Maybe we are paying the price for being such a self-centered nation where perfection is commonplace and the imperfect get lost in the cracks of our society.
The world will not end on December 21st as predicted by the Mayan Calendar. The opposite will happen, we will finally come together as a nation and sort through all the issues that contribute to the loss of lives. The day the world will change is when someone can seek out the help they need without the world pointing out the imperfectness in that person. We are getting there! There is more compassion in the world, and that in itself shows that there is hope. So as our world changes around us, just know that it takes change to happen in order to make it a better place to live.
I give my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victims in Newtown, CT. Out of this devastation you have taught our nation to come together, to be strong, and to implement much needed change. We all mou
with you.
