Some research has shown that Roman Chamomile essential oil acts as an antiseptic and an ant-inflammatory; meaning it can soothe irritated and inflamed skin and reduce redness.
We therefore use pure Roman Chamomile essential oil in our Blend #2 . This Serum could help those with inflammatory skin conditions by helping to reduce inflammation and making the skin feel less itchy and less dry.
You will find Roman Chamomile used in numerous skin care products.
Rose essential oil or what is known as Rose Otto has a host of beneficial affects on the skin and is great for promoting a youthful complexion with good tone, elasticity and an even colored complexion.
Rose essential oil has an extremely complex composition with more than 300 separate compounds.
The main properties for skincare are antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, bactericidal, cicatrisant, depurative and a general tonic.
Rose oil has excellent emollient and hydrating properties, which helps the skin stay soft and properly moisturized.
It is a very expensive ingredient to produce, as it takes about 4000Kilos(8800 pounds) of flowers to yield 1 liter(about34 ounces) of Rose Otto or about 30 roses to yield 1 drop of oil.
The cicatrisant, antiseptic, antiviral and bacterialcide properties cause it to be a great ingredient to help heal the skin after trauma or stress. It helps speed up healing in general.
It has great value when used to calm irritated skin and in general promotes younger looking skin. It's soothing, non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing ingredients, are gentle and have a profound effect on the quality of the skin when used.
At WEO we source our Rose Otto from Bulgaria and our Roman Chamomile from the Mediterranean. Both are steam distilled and completely unadulterated when placed in our Blends.
Though the ingredients are expensive, we take pride in our products and never dilute the Roman Chamomile, Rose oil or Tamanu oil in our Serum Blend # 2
Visit us at www.weo.us.com and stay tuned for next month when we will discuss Geranium, Patchouli and Myrrh essential oils and why we use them in our Blend # 98
