Adding Meaning To Your Life By Searching For God

It is said the Bible gives a way of responding to any human situation.
As an example, surely God foresaw the nature of humans when he mentioned "Doubting Thomas" in Scripture. Doubting Thomas, as most of us are probably familiar with, said something paraphrased as:

"I'll believe it when I see it"

Perhaps he thought the idea of the rise
Lord was too good to be true, or maybe he thought that folks had previously told him some tall tales. At any rate he lacked faith to some extent by having to see before he believed. Faith means that one believes before one sees.
So, about two thousand years later, is Doubting Thomas' opinion different than most people's opinion today about believing without seeing? That, too, is doubtful because the Bible is speaking to people now as much as it was back then.
If one must see before believing, then are there things to view now that would show God's presence to humans? In Saint Paul's Epistle to the Romans he writes:
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his ete
al power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse"

It seems Saint Paul is saying that there is enough evidence to believe in God just by looking at the world around us. So what, translated, are examples of some of the things we could clearly see that are visible?

1. Ete
al power

This should be evident in things such as life and death, weather, planetary motion, the size of the universe, natural disasters, stars, the sky, the miracle of birth, seasons and human reproduction.

2.. Nature

There is a natural food chain, precipitation cycle, gravity, laws of physics, the symmetry of nature, disease and things such as the appeal of the opposite sex. (If the pieces of the human face were not made with precision there would not be the same appeal of the opposite sex).

3. Rhythm

Isn't it amazing how the human body cycle, or circadian rhythm, is on the same 24 hour cycle as the time it takes for the moon to rotate around the earth? Your resting and active schedule seems in line with bodies in outer space. And, speaking of rhythm, if you had to tell your body how to digest its food and use it for energy where do you think you would be?

4. Senses

There are doctors who still try to figure out how a human being can see. It is not simple to explain, even scientifically. Perhaps this section could also include the taste of your favorite food.

5. The durability of the human body

An example of this is the human skull.

6. Wonders Of The World

Other than the Seven know
Wonders Of The World, this would include things such as a sunset, the vastness of the oceans, or mountain ranges.

7. Human capability

This might not be witnessed a lot in every day life, but when one hears of what the Navy Seals can do, does it not inspire you a little? If people were told hundreds of years ago that something like flying was possible (let alone flying to the Moon) they would have thought that the idea was ridiculous. What would they have thought of nuclear weapons?

8. Interesting experiences in daily human life

This area would include things like "Deja vu", dreaming or things that seem like a "coincidence".

You could probably add to the list, but the message remains the same.

Saint Paul's message is that humans have no excuse for not believing in God, based just on what they can witness.
