Affiliate Marketing: E-zine Advertising Tips
Written by Filipe Marinho
In affiliate marketing, the associates are looking into means in which their products can be made known effectively. One effective way is the use of e-zine advertising. The associate marketer must first know what this marketing tool is all about before they can utilize this tool for promotion.
E-zine is a coined term for magazine made available in the internet. It is a newsletter with various subject matter or themes that are emailed to subscribers. At a point when a newsletter ( after being published for some time in the internet ) has gained a certain number of subscribers that is representative of the global market, it is when the ezine publisher will start selling advertising space to affiliates and online business owners.
To acquire the maximum benefits of e-zine advertising, here are some e-zine advertising tips.
*Some e-zines are just paragraphs delivered via email, while other e-zines give links to other sites. To encourage its recipients or subscribers to participate, it is essential for affiliate marketers to pick e-zine that offer external links to other websites. If the affiliates has signed up with a pay-per-click program, the affiliate can direct the link to the merchant’s site or to the affiliate’s website.
*One type of e-zine ad is similar to a banner ad while the other type is called a solo ad. The former is cheaper while the latter is more expensive. The solo ads take the complete attention of the reader, while the banner-like ads will be competing with other banner ads. The business owner must look into his budget and decide which ezine ad will yield a higher profit.
*The placement of the e-zine ad is vital. The top sponsor ads are better than ads placed in the middle of the newsletter article. An ad placed right in the middle will almost certainly be overlooked by the reader. While the ad positioned at the top will surely be read first. The top ads are ,needless to say, more expensive than the middle ads. But what good will a middle ad do when it cannot even get one visitor? Next to top ads, the bottom ads are effective. When the reader reaches the end of the article and find the bottom ads, there is a higher chance that the reader will click on the link in the bottom ads, especially when the ezine article is appealing.
* The reason that ezines work well is that they are conveyed to a very targeted group of readers. The affiliate must find out from the publisher of the newsletter the topics of the succeeding issues to have an e-zine that targets a specific audience. Once the next issue is identified, the affiliate will pick from among the products something that matches the issue’s theme for it to reach a specific audience.
Through these e-zine advertising tips, the affiliate can concentrate on ads that will produce profit and avoid the ones that are ineffective.
