Mothers are strange. They can get up multiple times during the night to feed, burp, change, and then feed, burp, change many more times. Sometimes that wee one will cry and not be quieted for hours on end. Finally, about the time the mother gets into a deep sleep, morning comes and happy sounds of blubbering and jabbering come from the nursery. That is Mother’s signal to get up and start another day. When she goes in, the baby smiles and reaches up for a hug from Mommy. That sweet gesture melts away the mother’s frustration, if not the fatigue.r
