You are already a leader…
People already look up to you…
People depend on you and sometimes, the weight of that is overwhelming but you don’t crack…
You keep showing up for them…
Even though you KNOW there is more to you!
But you thought that being all things to all people, even the wrong people is what you HAD to do…
But now you know it is not!
You do work that is okay and it definitely pays the bills and keeps debt at bay…
But the work you do right now is a stepping stone to the work you dream of doing…
Because you used to feel you had to be practical…
And do what you don’t completely want to do while you wait for the opportunity to do what you really want to do!
And I call bullshit on that!
For goodness sake, even you do!
And you are ready for action!
You have started to take action to fulfil the vision in your heart…
But you want more, faster, now…
You are done with passivity…
You are ready NOW to BE THE LEADER you have always dreamt of being!
I still remember my passive years…
Not sure whether God wanted me to do my real work yet…
Not sure if I was allowed to make money from it… ever…
Willing to make money at something I did not want to do while doing a little bit of what I really wanted to do on the side…
And telling myself I could be happy with that!
Telling myself that it was impractical to think that it was possible to do the work I felt called to do and also create wealth to take care of my responsibilities…
And so I delayed and delayed and DELAYED!
And you, leader, have done the same thing…
You have been so active in your local church…
Supporting everyone else’s ministry…
Waiting for your time…
Believing that there will be some clarion call that will sound out and tell you to move…
BUT YOU ARE DONE WITH THAT!
And the truth is, this has been so unlike any other area of your life!
Normally, you are an action-taker!
But this BIG DREAM of yours has meant so much to you!
And so you lay down and took the nonsense…
And now you see that you were the one doling the nonsense out!
The nonsense about not being ready yet…
The nonsense about being needed in this small capacity when you KNOW you are born for something BIG!
The nonsense about not wanting to let anyone down…
The nonsense about waiting for a ‘word from the Lord’…
Be honest leader, you were just scared…
Again, it meant so much to you that it was easier to put it on the backbu er and cover it with all these reasons…
All these excuses…
Than to try and potentially fail at making it happen!
And so you stayed trapped in what may have seemed to others to be a great life…
But really, it was a small life…
And it stifled you…
AND NOW YOU ARE DONE WITH IT!
You tried to spiritualize the smallness of your life…
You tried to make it all seem part of some spiritual journey…
But deep down, in the part of you that did not want to see the light of day, you KNEW that you were just dilly-dallying!
And so either, like me, you hit rockbottom and woke up to the fact that if life is to change then it will be up to you!
or you finally decided to become the person you are born to be…
YOU WOKE THE FUCK UP!
GREAT! because leader…
You are called, chosen, HERE for a reason…
And you have seen the vision of it…
LITERALLY!
And I am here to tell you that your vision is your permission…
You do not need ANOTHER WORD FROM THE LORD or whatever it is you thought you were waiting for!
If you want to impact all the people you see in your vision…
If you want your life to matter in the way you dream of…
If you want to create abundant wealth for you, yours, your community…
Then GET THE FUCK TO WORK!
And get to work doing the REAL WORK you want to do…
Yes, I want to jar you out of the nonsense…
Because you have come some way but you are still holding back somewhat!
And it is time that you be COMPLETELY done with that…
You need to be done with the stagnancy that took over your heart…
Stuck in a half-life whether it be a stagnant business or a career that seems awesome but which has slowly drained the life out of you…
It is time to step fully onto the narrow path…
It is time to do the real work…
And yes, you need strategy to make it work…
And yes, you need support to stay on the narrow path…
Because you have tried this before and you have backed away because it all seemed hard…
And it was more comfortable to return to the half-life…
But your time is tick- tick-tocking away and you keep coming back here…
You try to settle in that half-life but you can’t!
And when you stop the busy scurrying around for a second, you feel the despair that is always at the edge of your awareness…
Leader! Stop looking away!
Stop hiding away!
Hear the voice of Spirit within you urging you to wake up!

For you, it is either live out your calling or pay your bills…
And so you have chosen a weird, lack-filled version of both…
Where you have just enough money to get by comfortably enough and just enough time to impact a few people who do not even fully appreciate what you are doing because you have not valued your true work so why the heck should they?
And the underlying despair has kept eating at you…
The voice of Spirit within you keeps calling you out…
Leader, it is time to wake the heck up!
