The Resting Phase or Telogen Stage: This is the last stage of the hair growth cycle in which 10-15% of hair goes in the resting phase and opens the option for new hair growth. Whilst the old hair goes in the resting phase, the new hair begins the growth phase. rn4. The Exogen Phase: It is also known as a new hair phase in which old hair sheds off and a new hair begins to grow. In this phase, approximately 50-150 hairs can fall out daily, which is taken as a normal hair shedding. rnWhat is Telogen Effluvium?rnTelogen effluvium is a stress caused hair loss that occurs when hair gets early entry into the resting stage. These loose hairs often been shed off and don’t come until some additional hairs enter this resting phase. When there is any doubt regarding the Telogen stage, a small taste is performed via the scalp biopsy in which a small piece of skin may be taken from the scalp that is examined under the microscope. rnSo, it is always good to go through the primary consultation if someone is experiencing the hair loss problem.
