Annulments

If you are entering marriage for the second time,or if your spouse was married before, consider getting your previous marrage annulled. So you can get married in the church. I'm not certain about all christian churches, but in the Catholic Church it is required.

I was married once before although Mike was only married to me. I never had my marriage annulled until we were married almost 24 years. I really took time to examine the process after we attended a marriage encounter weekend. We had heard many nightmare stories aboout the process of annulment. Stories about the expense, the involvment of your former spouse, and the time it took. None of which were accurate. We keep putting it off until one day we e-mailed our priest. Our priest )whom we love so much) was so kind and good to lean on in this process. It really was an easy thing to do. Don't listen to gossip people lay on you. Non of this was true. The only thing it did was take about a year.
Mike and I got married right on our 25th wedding anniversary, in church, by our priest. Some family and friends attended the blessed event. I will cherish this anniversary more than any other. It was the most incredible day, and the best felling I will ever have. I'm sure Mike feels the same way. I loved my husband so much that day I could have burst at the seams! It was awesome.
