***Are Men With Deeper Voices More Attractive?

There is no doubt that women judge a man’s attractiveness by more than just his looks. Two qualities that the female sex takes note of are a man’s confidence and his voice. A deep, rich sound is definitely more alluring to her ears than a high-pitched, nasal whine or a weak and wimpy squawk.
Everyone has a deeper voice inside; it is just a matter of finding it. Because most people rely on their throat and vocal folds (cords) to power and amplify the voice, the result is often less-than-pleasing. So, what are Sean Connery, George Clooney, James Earl Jones, Vin Diesel, Peter Coyote, and the late, great Barry White doing that you probably are not?
They are using their chest cavity as their primary sounding board. When that happens, the voice becomes very warm, resonant and sensual, vibrating in the chest. Just comparing the size of your other four resonating cavities – voice box, throat, mouth, and nose – you can begin to understand what is happening to those sound waves when you add your chest cavity to the picture. The latter is responsible for more depth and breadth to the voice. (And, if you sing, you will find that your singing voice will improve as well with greater range and more fullness or breadth.)
What is fascinating about the male voice is that large men do not necessarily have deeper voices. Some of the best male voices I have ever heard have come from short men. And, some of the worst voices I have ever heard have come from very tall men.
Another oddity about the male voice is that those who mumble tend to be tall; whereas, shorter men often speak with more distinction. (I am not saying that all tall men mumble and all short men have dynamic voices – but, from my years of experience, it holds true in a surprising number of cases.)
While you may not have the same depth to your speaking voice as that of Vin Diesel, if you are not presently using your chest cavity to power your sound, then there is no doubt that you have a deeper-pitched voice than you are unaware of. I call it your ‘real’ voice and yelling or screaming is not the way to find it.
If you value the image you are projecting, discover your real voice. She will think you are that much more attractive – and sexy to boot!
