Many people go through their lives constantly coming up with reasons on why they cannot do something. Why they should not do something. Is this how you are living your life? Do you spend more time making excuses rather than living in action?

Making excuses will not get you to where you need to go. This is living a life of restriction. When you are in restriction you will not see possibilities; you will only see reasons on why something can’t be done.
What you focus on you attract.

Successful people do not make excuses. Successful people spend their days looking for possibilities and living their lives in expansion. To achieve success you need to have a bit of faith that your dream can be achieved. Know that if someone else has achieved what you want to do that you can also. Find out what they did and DO IT! Remember that although it is good to plan, action is the only thing that is going to bring your plan to fruition.

The longer you live your life in expansion the more your thoughts and dreams will take on ever expanding qualities. To begin living a life full of possibilities look at the following areas:

1. Pull out an old dream that you did not accomplish and see it from a different perspective. Look and see what task(s) that you can take today to bring this dream into reality.
2. Is there something that you have always wanted to do but others told you it wasn’t possible. Remember very few things are impossible if you want it bad enough.
3. Set new goals and raise the bar a bit. Dare to dream a little bigger.
Don’t worry about how you will achieve your final outcome. When you are open to possibilities you can trust that once you have completed an action you will know what needs to be done next.

As you begin moving forward you are bound to have obstacles. There will be people in your life that try to place limitations on you. Keep a journal of these limitations and write out why they are wrong. Write about how they do not have any idea of what you are capable of. They may be scared that if you become successful that they will lose their place in your life. Your success may challenge them to face their limitations.

Fear will try to find a permanent place preventing you from your goals. When this happens you need to be prepared. Your fears are challenging your beliefs. It is normal to want to run and hide from our fears, to ignore them and hope that they will go away. Trust me, they will not go away. They will continue to haunt you until you face them. Fear is our natural response to danger. When we are in danger it is important to remove ourselves from the situation. However, when we are not in danger, fear turns into worry and worry causes paralysis of our dreams. Here are a few ideas to help you get past your worries.

1. What is the worst possible scenario? Really look at this and see what it is that can happen if you go through with your actions toward your goal. Ask yourself what this scenario really looks like? How will you react if it actually does not turn out the way you want it? What will happen if you do not take actions towards your goal? Decide which outcome you would rather take a chance with and move forward.
2. Ask yourself what you want your life to look like a year from now, 5 years from now. Where is this goal in your life’s plans? If it is essential to living the life you want than do not delay.
3. Sometimes we just have to ignore the fear and move forward anyway. Try using a visualization technique such as throwing your fear out the window, write it down on a piece of paper and burn it or try stomping your fear out with your feet.
4. Thank your fear. Tell it that you know it is just trying to protect you and that you have looked at the situation carefully and know that you can live with the worst case scenario. Explain to it that it is no longer necessary to protect you with this situation.
Your fear may continue to pop up from time to time. Don’t get discouraged though; keep using the technique that feels right for you and eventually your fear will go away.

As you take each step moving forward toward your goals you will find more and more things coming into your life that will help you along your journey. You will meet someone new who will say just the right thing that gets you started on your next step. You will find a book, a video or a podcast that is helpful.

Remember to give thanks for all of these blessings and that often the journey is more important than the final outcome.

Many Joyful Blessings,
