Untold thousands of Americans report they drink these sports and health and fitness products for many causes including enhanced immunity from illnesses, "better overall health," "energy" and due to the fact they substitute "vital nutrients." They have no concept of the calories, amount of sugar or the reality that the "energy" is caused by high amounts of caffeine- barely healthy and definitely not "natural." It all starts with deceptive advertising: "Sports Drinks are good for you; the complete container has just 55 calories. That's 1/3 of the calories in a bottle of regular soda." The problem is that it's the portion that is fifty calories. Most glucose sweetened drinks are available in various size bottles. In the most frequent bottle, there are 2.5 portions, so the total calories of the jar are a hundred twenty five and the glucose contents will be 44 grams. How many people share their beverage with a couple of.other people? People spent 1 billion dollars on the products last year. How did all of this get started? What do these beverages do? What is the best fluid in order to avoid dehydration? How Did this Huge Sports Beverage Misconception Lead to Such Big Problems?

Scientists at the University of Fl in 1965 used the university's football staff to test a unique beverage these people had developed to fight lack of fluids. The participants loved it. They called the sports beverage after the University's mascot. After Florida beat Georgia Tech 27-12 in the 1967 Orange Bowl, the losing coach proclaimed to a reporter: "We didn't have the Gatorade". That made the difference." And that was the beginning of the misconception that has resulted in weight after pounds of weight gain for inactive adults, kids and teenagers. Sports drinks are great for re-hydrating any person who is actually playing athletics outside in the heat that are more tha
Ninety minutes, and involve high intensity and staying power. The words to remember are: heat, outdoors, more than ninety minutes and substantial intensity and stamina. Sports beverages have no place for most adults, children or teens doing light-weight exercise especially inside an air-conditioned building, not perspiring heavily, or doing no exercise all. In this scenario, simple cool mineral water is completely satisfactory and does not add hundreds of calories and cups of sugars. Drinking a 150 calorie sports drink, will take most men and women more than 30 minutes of walking to "burn off." If you drink it daily for a year, you will gain more than 20 lbs of excess

Let's face it, water might be good for a person but for many individuals it's uninteresting. But call it "vitamin water" make it in beautiful pastel colors and call it "good for you" and "healthy," add as much sugar as in a regular soft drink and a whole great deal of caffeine and you have a success. The issue is almost everyone has more vitamins than they require. Since the average American eating plan provides the recommended nutritional allowance of vitamins and minerals. In addition vitamins E, A, D and K do not dissolve in water and can only be utilized with a meal that contains fat. Consequently what's the value of putting them into a jar of water? To taste good, 32 grams of sugar- the same as a can of regular soda- is added. One of the issues is fooling oneself into thinking that consuming thirty-two grms of sugar is "healthy." The issue again like the sports drinks is not to be fooled by the "healthy" aura that surrounds them Check out the content label.
