We all face the moments where we lose inspiration and excitement for what we do. Usually we focus on employee engagement but it affects as much the entrepreneurs, and business owners as the leaders of a team, department or organization. According to a 2015 Gallup study, only 32% of the American Workforce is engaged and globally only 13%. This costs the economy billions. But on a smaller scale, just think of how much is costs YOU as the entrepreneur or leader who is not deeply inspired about what you are doing. It affects your effectiveness, service, business growth, profits and even your physical health and wellbeing.
Three Steps To Reignite Your Passions

When things don't go well, don't add more things to your busy schedule - it’s time to step back, realign you priorities and reignite your passions:

1. Step back: Price Pritchett shares in his fabulous book You2 the story of the fly banging its head against the window zzzt…zzzt…zzzt until exhaustion overcame it. Next to the closed window is an open one. Just taking a step back and looking for the opening would allow the fly to find its freedom. Where is your opening? Step back and look for it.

2. Realign your top priorities: Narrow it down to the vital things and develop actions. Identify which actions will get you to your goals. For example, instead of checking emails and posting on Facebook first thing in the morning, you can use this time to write your book or work on a project while you are filled with energy and ideas.

3. Reignite your passions: Think about your “why”. Remember the reason you started your business or joined the team or company. Start a list of your work passions, thinking about how it is when your workday is ideal. Then explore the why behind it. Why does a specific project bring you joy?

When you step back, realign and reignite, you recharge and are in charge again of your life and your business! Contact me for more information about The Passion Test for Business: http://ulrikeberzau.com/advanced-engagement-solutions/ .
