Are Your Negative Imprints Running the Show?

Many of the beliefs that run your world can sometimes be found just below your level of awareness. Others, however, you will easily find to be your familiar friends. They pop up every so often, masquerading as reasons why you can’t do ‘x’ or try ‘y.’

You’ll even find that you can back up those beliefs with statistical data from your life. You’ve been cheated by your 3 previous business partners. You’ve dated three different guys in the last year and you always break up for similar reasons. Or, no matter how much money you make you always wind up short! There will be plenty of anecdotes to remind you of why you shouldn’t even try to break out of familiar territory.

Take a moment, before you continue reading, to grab a pen and pad and jot down the first 10 thoughts that come to mind about money. See if you notice any themes and go ahead and post them below. There’s power in naming things and everyone will benefit from claiming shared beliefs and the collective power to shift them.

Negative imprints are as unique as individuals. You cobble them together from early programming and conditioned responses. These are some of the ones I’ve come across most often. See if any elicit a response…

• You’ve got to work hard.

• Make do with what you’ve got.

• Who do you think you are?

• Be realistic!

• You can only count on yourself.

• There’s never enough.

• You’re not good enough.

Money is only one area of your life touched by this core programming. Take a moment to comb your memory banks and see if the themes you came up with aren’t running loose in other areas of your life as well.

Some of the most insidious negative imprints running the show are not found at the surface level of awareness. They lie in the deep, inner recesses of your being, in the dusty corners and crusty crevices of your fragmented being.

Take heart! Your breakdown is a pathway to your breakthrough. You only need to open to the soulful sweetness of your inner call. Choice is the engine of your evolution!
