Natural Remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Natural Remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Polymyalgic Rheumatic, Lupus and Other Joint Auto-Immune Conditions I want to talk about natural remedies for rheumatoid arthritis and other auto-immune diseases, like ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, polymyaligic rheumatic, Lupus and auto-immune diseases that affect joint tissues. With rheumatoid arthritis and other auto-immune diseases, your body's immune system makes anti-bodies that attack your own joints and tissues, damaging, destroying and producing an inflammatory response, resulting in pain and destruction of tissues. The same thing happens in not only rheumatoid arthritis, but also in ankylosing spondylitis, Lupus and psoriatic arthritis – other auto-immune diseases. The question is, why does this happen? In recent years, scientists discovered that in certain instances, a virus actually gets into the body that infects a certain type of immune cell called a monocyte. That virus changes and pre-shapes the monocyte so that throughout its entire lifespan – and in the lifespan of all the daughter monocytes to follow - they take-on an aggressive behavior and secrete inflammatory chemicals that drive a inflammatory process, making antibodies that destroy the body's own tissues. The monocytes go haywire because they are converted into macrophages, on this crazy mission to destroy tissue. In some cases, it can be genetically induced, where monocytes for some reason can't distinguish between healthy, normal cells and foreign invaders. You see, if you have a bacteria or virus you want your immune cells to attack it, but you don't want it to be attacking healthy tissues, like your joints, heart, lung and kidneys. In auto-immune diseases, this is what takes place. When you consult with a rheumatologist in these types of situations, sometimes they won't talk to you about proven, evidence-based information surrounding lifestyle management which can actually help manage these types of auto-immune joint conditions. As a part of your lifestyle management, try to tone down the release of these inflammatory cytokines/chemicals that the immune cells are secreting and instead create more of a bio-regulation of your entire system by regulating it in a way that makes it less aggressive and damaging to your own healthy tissues. How do you do this? From a natural lifestyle standpoint, you need an anti-inflammatory diet. There are also some natural anti-inflammatory herbal agents that are outstandingly good – curcumin, boswellia, white willow bark extract, ginger, and even quercetin, which can be very useful. Therapeutic doses of Vitamin D, medicinal mushrooms and astragalus all bio-regulate the immune system. I can't emphasize enough how important that is. Even using probiotics can help. Many family doctors, rheumatologists and orthopedists can fail to explain to their patients how diet and supplementation – and even exercise – can help in long term management. The truth is, it takes more than drugs to effectively manage these conditions, and most drugs used to reduce inflammation and affect immune cells can come with very significant side-effects. So anything that you can do to reduce your reliance on drugs – and I'm not saying that the drugs aren't important; I'm just saying if you can reduce the dosage you require or the number of pills you have to take in a day – you'll decrease the likelihood of significant side-effects. The best thing you can do is download my eBook on this. You can read it through, it's simple to understand and all of the references are there. The eBook is called Proven Natural Remedies for Joint Pain, Arthritis and Inflammation. I suggest you do that right now. The book shows the exact lifestyle plan to help better manage arthritic conditions that are related joint pain and inflammatory conditions. The recommendations can be used along with any drug or medical treatment you are currently undergoing. In fact, every arthritic patient should have a copy of this eBook, Proven Natural Remedies for Joint Pain, Arthritis and Inflammation.

“Just a waste of my time,” I remember thinking while waiting my turn for a mammogram in Dr. Ira Berger’s office. I had brought my briefcase and had work spread on my lap, but spending time driving the 97-mile round trip from my home office to the radiologist’s was an unproductive part of my day. It was 1992 and I had been getting annual mammograms for more than 10 years – ever since I turned 45. But I felt I had better things to do with my time, especially since no one in my family had ever had breast cancer, or cancer of any kind.

Ah, November. It’s the month when winter gets serious, delighting skiers and little kids. It’s the time to put the thick, groovy, grab-the-road tires on my car and it’s when I celebrate my magical day! Nov. 18th is my birthday. That day I’ll get to blow out some candles and grin from ear to ear while my family sings to me. Then I’ll read aloud their hilarious birthday cards while they laugh so hard they have to hold their tummies, and happy tears squeeze from the corners of their eyes. Yes, November 18 is the magical day I was bo 74 years ago.
