TRADING OLD LEARNING FOR NEW

Topic: Success CoachingBy Dr. Katie Lynne GarnettPublished Recently added

Our old learning taught us that we were pre-programmed, preset in what we could think, do, accomplish, or even survive. It was not that long ago that we had every reason to believe that if our genetic pool included heart-disease, or cancer, or insanity, then we were destined to follow these paths. We believed that we had limited talents, things we could or could not accomplish. There are cultures where everyone sings with a lovely voice, on key, as fairly accomplished singers. They don't train, they don't all have identical genetic structures, but they do all sing, everyday, from birth. It is simply a part of the culture, so everyone has considerably more talent than the average American for example, who tends to believe that only 'special' people have the ability to sing well. So who cares? Hopefully, all of us who are interested in releasing our old limiting beliefs and creating our new expansive beliefs. The Pauli Principle in quantum mechanics states that two objects (in this case our thoughts), cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Thinking we can do something or thinking we can't do something, cannot occupy the same space in our mind, and in our cells, and in our DNA. Make a choice, and choose the thoughts that serve you best. Believing that we have limitations, that we have 'bad' luck, that we can't do this or that, are simply constructs that have come from our learned belief systems and programs, and these beliefs systems or programs can be changed, recreated, expanded and replaced. It is important to make new choices about what we decide to tell ourselves. This process is supported and fulfilled by the science known as epigenetics (meaning, outside or above the cell). Thoughts are things, therefore thoughts are a form of energy, and creating new thoughts are the way in which we change our old programming. By replacing old beliefs and programs, through the process of epigenetically supplying new information to our DNA through the membranes of our cells, we impact the creation of new DNA programs and essentially, a new self.
