I am truly excited. I have been using the Personal Portable Oxygen Bar for about 6 weeks now. I am 74 years old and a member of a Rag Time Band. Last weekend I went to Sutter Creek for the annual Rag Time festival.
nI decided to take the Personal Portable Oxygen Bar with me. It fits nicely into my carry-on bag on wheels.
nWe had jam sessions Friday, Saturday and Sunday, about 1 hour each. The sessions tend to be quite tiring. I remember last year I was quite exhausted.
nAfter each sessio I went to my hotel room to spend 20 or 30 minutes breathing with the Oxygen Bar. I could clearly feel my energy coming back. I could just do it!
nI strongly feel and believe that my senses are better, especially improvising music in our Rag Time band. I can feel the movement much better, I can anticipate the changes much more easily. This is wonderful.
nHere is another thing: I feel more alive. I feel increased capacity to sense people's needs, especially those in grief.
nMy wife has suffered from chronic bronchitis/breathing problems. Since I purchased the Personal Portable Oxygen Bar she has faithfully done at least 3 breathing sessions a day. This has helped her tremendously. She has not used any inhalers for several weeks.
nI cannot thank you enough for sharing your discovery with me. I am telling everybody about it.

Low Blood Oxygen/Hypoxia may prompt onset of Alzheimer's
n25 November 2006 - From New Scientist Print Edition
nBegin of Quote: (bolds added by Dr. Z) "The many disparate risk factors for Alzheimer's disease may be linked by an underlying common cause. It has been known that diabetes, strokes, clogged arteries and plain old ageing increase the risk of developing Alzheimer's, with only 5 per cent of cases strongly influenced by genes.
nNow evidence has emerged that lack of oxygen is the root cause.
nWeihong Song at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and his colleagues took mice engineered to develop Alzheimer's-like plaques and put them in a hypoxia chamber for one month, where for 16 hours each day they got less than 40 per cent of the oxygen they needed. Six months later, the oxygen-deprived mice had developed twice as many beta-amyloid plaques - the hallmark of the disease - as similar mice kept in normal conditions. The plaques were also larger and the hypoxic mice performed worse on memory tests." (read more...).

Importance of adequate Oxygen in Aging
nProbably the most important clinical research about oxygen deficiency and age related illnesses has been done in Germany by Prof. Manfred von Ardenne. The book titled "Oxygen Multistep Therapy" contains his findings and clinical relevance: nOxygen Multistep Therapy Physiological and Technical Foundationsnn Manfred von Ardennenn Thieme Medical Publishers (January 1, 2000)
nLet me share some of his profound findings with you:
nBegin quotes: (bolds added by Dr. Z)
n"Thanks to great medical progress in the combat of life-threatening diseases and conditions, human life expectancy has greatly increased, and more and more people reach old age, in which cardiopulmonary performance, and, with it, the oxygen supply to the tissues, drop to 50% or less of the levels of youth….." "Our discovery that the strength of the host defense capacity is dependent on the quality of the oxygen status..."
n"From the view of pathophysiology the new possibility of increasing more or less permanently the arterial partial oxygen pressure in older (and often also in sick people), and of simultaneously reducing the venous partial oxygen pressure, means the opening of the natural causal prophylaxis and therapy for the many oxygen deficiency diseases and complaints of old age...." "An accumulation of reports of good and very good treatment results can be noted for the indications:
n- n
- renormalization of the oxygen loading of the blood in the lung functionally degenerated by old age or severe stress n
- early stage of cataract n
- glaucoma n
- loss of field of vision n
- impaired focus n
- angina pectoris n
- arrhythmia n
- prophylaxis and rehabilitation for heart diseases n

- improved quality of life in cancer patients........" n
"Individual reports of interesting results, which challenge us to further inquiry, have been received for the following indications:
n- n
- Memory weakness n
- conditions of confusion n
- side effects of drugs taken over a long period of time n
- Parkinson's disease n

Your brain and nervous system need three things for optimal function:
n- n
- proper nutrition (protein and balanced blood sugar) n
- stimulation/activation n
- oxygen. n
Oxygen is critical - your brain depends on adequate oxygen more than any other part of your body. As you age, you lose some of your capacity to utilize oxygen , approx. 1% per year from the age of 20 on. The older you get, the more oxygen deficiency becomes an issue.
nnn
Every Breath you Take Converts to Energy.
nAll human cells, especially your brain/nervous system cells called neurons, need energy to do their job. All cells use blood sugar (glucose) and oxygen to create Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (ATP), the energy source that fuels cell function.
nIf your cells need more energy, they use more oxygen. That is why your breathing rate increases when you exercise.
nIf your cells do not receive enough oxygen, they produce less energy.
nYou derive oxygen/O2 from the air you breathe. There is plenty of evidence that our air contains less oxygen now, especially in densely populated metropolitan areas. Air pollution levels are constantly increasing.
nLiving at higher elevations puts you at an automatic disadvantage - the higher the elevation, the less the oxygen content of the air your breathe.
nMost people don't breathe well. Many are shallow breathers. This seems to be more the case with our increasingly sedentary life styles and when we are chronically stressed. This leads to less oxygen transfer in the lungs with devastating consequences for our brain function.

EWOT - Why Dr. Z exercises daily with Oxygen Enriched Air
nI am 63.
nThere is huge difference between a 20-year-old and a 63 year old. According to many years of clinical research from Germany, the main difference is that the 20-year-old's body is better able to utilize oxygen. This research from Germany was primarily conducted by Professor Manfred von Ardenne and published in his book Oxygen Multistep Therapy.
nDr. von Ardenne states that:..." the oxygen supply to the tissues, drop to 50% or less of the levels of youth….."
nDr. von Ardenne shows that many, if not most, age related health problems can be linked to oxygen deficiency. He shows that it is possible to bring your oxygen capacity back to what it was when you were younger.
nBy increasing your body's oxygenation you can undo years of damage done by stress and free radicals and lack of oxygen. This process may actually slow your aging process. In some cases there is evidence that the biological clock can be turned back by several years.
nMost of my older clients show signs of decreased brain function such as:
n- n
- Alzheimer's n
- Parkinson's n
- Depression n
- Mood swings n
- Memory problems n
- Increased blood pressure n
- Fibromyalgia n
- The list goes on and on n
Most of my younger clients show signs of decreased brain function such as:
n- n
- ADD n
- ADHD n
- Autism n
- Depression n
- Mood swings n
- Difficulty concentrating n
- The list goes on and on n
Imagine:
nI see this daily in my clinical practice.
nI get daily e-mails from countless people who have similar complaints.
nMany years ago I decided to do everything in my power to keep my brain and my body as healthy as possible.
nLast year in April I added one additional thing: EWOT
nEvery single morning - without fail - I do 45 minutes of EWOT with my Personal Portable Oxygen Bar Concentrator , before I start the rest of my day
nEWOT - Exercise with Oxygen Training.
nI exercise with Oxygen Enriched Air (OEA) with my Personal Portable Oxygen Bar Concentrator .
nn
n
EWOT - the best Anti-Aging and Anti-Alzheimer's Training
nThis process is called EWOT. I call it "Exercise With Oxygen Training." What is it?
nEWOT - the best Anti-Aging training you can do - in the comfort of your own home. nIt is simple and affordable.
nDo this for at least 15-30 minutes, daily, for the rest of your life.
nEWOT - You exercise while breathing Oxygen Enriched Air form your Personal Portable Oxygen Bar. You can use a treadmill, a stationary bicycle, a UBE (Upper Body Ergometer/bicycle), light weights to do easy biceps curls, easy crunches, cross crawl exercises, etc.
nIt is always a good idea to wear a heart rate monitor (different styles and types available at sporting goods stores). If your pulse gets over 130, slow down or stop for a few minutes.
nPlease use common sense with EWOT - if you feel lightheaded or faint, stop and rest. If you are not sure just how fit you are, just go for two or three minutes at a slow speed the first time and discover your level of comfort. Then simply sit while breathing deeply and with intention Oxygen Enriched Air from your Oxygen Delivery Headset.
nPay attention to your breathing while doing EWOT. You will soon start noticing how wonderful it is to deeply and slowly breathe in Oxygen Enriched Air (OEA) .
nMany people report that they are becoming more aware of their shallow breathing throughout the day. Some of my clients start noticing that they actually hold their breath, especially during physical efforts, or when stressed. Not a good thing, obviously. However, you cannot change your detrimental habits without first becoming aware of them.
nAfter 15 minutes of EWOT, you may notice a "pinking up" of your skin. If this can be seen so easily by simple observation, then it is obvious that the tiny capillaries, vessels tinier than a strand of hair, are carrying extra oxygen to cells of the body. Presumably, although this is a little more difficult to prove, every organ (your brain, kidneys, heart, eyes, and even the tips of your toes) is being bathed in extra amounts of life-sustaining oxygen.
