Astrological Happenings Horoscope for August 2009

August continues to get hot and steamy as we become confident and outgoing (thanks to the Sun in Leo!), leading us into new directions in our lives, introducing us to new people and new doors of opportunities!! We're proud to exhibit what our heart really wants, and we're bold to chase it! Although it's wonderful astrological weather to support our cravings for summertime fun, the fact that it's summer just adds all the more spice! With the help of the sun and fresh outdoors, we're simply looking better and taking better care of ourselves, and it definitely shows! We start August with Venus opposing bully Pluto on 08/01, and an old saying comes to mind "If you're going to talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk"! We're wanting more and expecting more than what we have been getting, and we're not settling for false promises anymore, as actions truly speak louder than words. Compromise will be needed as this tension increases with a possibility of an outburst!

Mercury enters meticulous Virgo 08/02, and Mercury trines Pluto on 08/03. Our thoughts begin to transpire as to what we have been doing for the past few weeks with our lives, and we're starting to make serious decisions as to what we hope to create and develop. We could experience a breakthrough of revealed secrets, having them confirm that we really are making the right choices! We may also spend more time than necessary on analyzing our life, while becoming consciously aware and conce
ed of where we are headed. We're starting to look for something more stable, a stronger foundation to count on, so some of us may be temporarily retreating from the world, to reorganize our priorities. A Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse will occur in intellectual Aquarius on 08/05, offering us an inner awakening that encourages us to ignore what the world (and everyone else!) tells us to do - as we are ready to follow the beat of our own drum! A lunar eclipse represents an ending, to give us a chance to relieve ourselves of worn-out emotional patterns that haven't agreed with us for some time. With Wounded Healer Chiron, Jupiter, and Neptune all retrograde in Aquarius, we may experience a sense of emotional healing. This second chance can help us find genuine closure to a situation that we have been clinging onto for months (or possibly years) that no longer serves us well. Agitation begins to stir on the week of 08/10 as Mars squares grumpy Saturn. Mars wants to Go! Go! Go! and Satu
simply applies the brakes, forcing us to come to a halt. Satu
needs us to think and plan first, so patience will be needed. The Aries Moon will also have us emotionally charged and ready to push against any resistance, but without compromise - this could simply mean disagreements for the day, with an unwillingness to bend for both parties involved. Plans may not work out as smoothly as we thought they would, so be sure to have a Plan B ready. Sun opposes Jupiter on 08/14, and the opposes Neptune on 08/17, Our identity is provoked by inflated confidence and possible misunderstandings. We experience frustrations, to help change us from following an old pattern. Try going with the flow for a change, and see where it takes you. Choices are based on logic and moral standards, rather than emotional illusions.On this same day, Mars will enter passive Cancer, and while our thoughts and energy will be strong as a locomotive, Cancer can occasionally sidetrack some of our moves, leaving others puzzled. Venus moves into courageous Leo on 08/26, and our desires will be more on the 'upscale', as we want to be spoiled and taken better care of. We will also be providing a little pampering to our loved ones as well! We want to protect who we love and what we own, meaning someone may become very territorial. Romance and sexual intimacy is at a high, as well as passion and jealousy! Be sure to handle yourself properly as Mars opposes domineering Pluto, as someone may be more on the defensive.
