Astrology is knowledge of nature purely transpersonal.

Why transpersonal? Transpersonal theory examines the conce s, motivations and experiences that transcend the sphere of personality or ego. The transpersonal view emerged from the meeting of the Western humanistic psychology and Eastern contemplative traditions. What differentiates it from other perspectives of transpersonal is that it requires the inclusion of spirituality as part of human nature.

If we think of spirituality as a process of gradual loss of egocentrism and narcissism, I think the greatest merit of astrology is to re-attach ourselves consciously with the Universe. Long before it relegated to ourselves and our bodies, relegated to neighbor and sentient beings that surround us and accompany us in this phase of the path that we call "existence."

Transpersonal Astrology

In the development of consciousness are mainly three stages, the prepersonal, staff and the transpersonal.

The prepersonal stage is integration with the cosmos that precedes the stabilization of the ego (pre-ego). Such integration is basically the body, and refers to the feeling of infinity in its own paradise in utero or the newborn.

In the personal stage, there is a differentiation with respect to the unit. This is a healthy evolution of consciousness, now identified with the mental (rational). The ego is stable, and if all goes well, comes to be mature successfully.

In the transpersonal stage of consciousness which is beyond the mental realm to identify with the soul and spirit, Transcends the mind, goes further, and does not deny or repress.

If you look at human development and growth (magic, myth, rational, transrational), it can be seen in two kinds of non-rationality. They are pre-rational forms of thought, the magical and mythical (where reasons do not yet exist or are abandoned) and the shapes transrational (where the ratio remains unchanged, but is transcended in states transmental). For example, in meditation one is aware of the workings of the mind, but transcends not to return in a more infantile stage.

A transpersonal astrology refers to a comprehensive view of consciousness and the cosmos. This type of astrology connects us with our soul and the anima mundi, the soul of the world, with our true Self or Higher Self.

We could say that astrology ominous, the deterministic, which claims to control events, is one that corresponds to spectrum-based personal ego and ego needs. Transpersonal astrology meets the needs of the soul ... but here is the danger, since it moves away from rationality and could also fall in pre-rational, magic and narcissistic.

As with the cosmos and Kosmos words, Wilber insists on a distinction between nature (with " " lowercase) and Nature. The latter not only includes the mineral, vegetable and animal but also the cultural levels, mental and spiritual.

Perhaps we should also distinguish between astrology and astrology. The first will conce the personal ego, the second one transpersonal. Astrology is a tool of the small self, the self cross. Astrology like a breath intangibleis transcending the ego and is connected to the Kosmos.
