Avoid These Foods At All Costs If Weight Loss Is Your Goal!
Written by Alvin J Chua
If you have been reading my articles, you will realize that I always provide you with lists of foods you should eat to lose weight. However, in this article, I decided to share with you the foods you should not eat if you want to lose weight! You can take some of these foods once in a while, but if you want fast results, then avoid them.
The first food is ice cream. They are simply delicious, but contain lots of fats. They are also very calorie-heavy, meaning that a small amount of ice cream contains lots of calories. Ice cream is also very high in sugar content, and consuming them will cause a spike in your blood sugar level, causing your metabolism to slow down. When your metabolism slow down, you will find that you gain fats easier and lose weight harder.
French fries are a bad food choice if fat loss is your goal. The fries itself is actually made from potato, which is a type of refined carbohydrates and is not good for fat loss purposes. However, it is still acceptable. It is the trans-fats filled oil the fries are cooked within that can lead to heart diseases and weight gain problems! In case you do not already know, trans-fats are fats which cannot be lost from your body once consumed.
Potato chips are also bad for your health and weight. A differing element about potato chips is that they contain a chemical which is actually a known carcinogen; increasing your chances of cancer! Additionally, potato chips are filled with salt, which will retain water within your body, giving you a bloated look known as water retention effect.
Hot dogs are really tasty and a convenient finger food; unfortunately they promote pancreatic cancer risk by over 50 per cent! Most hot dogs are actually filled with fat and made from processed meat. It clearly needs no explanation as to how it will make you fatter.
One of the worst beverages you can ever take will be soda. Each can of soda contain well over 8 teaspoons of sugar and artificial food coloring. These teaspoons of sugar will clearly cause your insulin and blood sugar levels to spike, and your resulting metabolism to fall, causing you to gain more weight easily! Most people know that soda is bad for fat loss purposes; therefore they turn to diet soda without looking at the ingredient labels first. Diet soda actually still contains extremely high sugar content!
