Knee pain is a common problem that can occur due to many reasons. One such reason for the knee pain is knee injury. In general, knee injury is of many different types. Out of the many different types of knee injuries, injury on the medial side of the knee is the rare form of knee injury. In this rarest form of knee injury, there occurs an extreme pain in the knee itself. It may occur due to an excess working of the knee or working of the knee too badly. This type of injury occur due to knee injury which is left untreated. The other reason for this type of knee pain is an injury to the cartilage or ligaments that are present inside the knees.
Pellegrini Stieda Syndrome is one such type of knee problem in which there occurs medial knee pain which mainly affects Medial collateral ligament. The primary reason behind the Pellegrini stieda syndrome is the deposition of the calcium on the medial side of the knee. It usually occurs in the person who have had injury in the medial collateral ligament.
A person having Pellegrini Stieda Syndrome will have difficulty in making knee movements such as straightening, bending and twisting of the knee. These knee movements lead to the extreme pain. The knee becomes tender and there may be a lump inside the knee. Swelling, stiffness, inflammation and pain in the knee are some of the symptoms of Pellegrini stieda syndrome.

Most of the people think that exercise can aggravate the pain in the joints and causes stiffness, but actually this is not the case. Lack of exercise can make your knee joint more painful and stiff. It is because, keeping your muscles healthy enough is must to support the bones. Lack of exercise weakens the supporting muscles and hence, creating more stress on the joints.
The exercise is in general, good for everyone in order to stay fit. Exercise helps to increase the flexibility and strength of the joints and muscles. This in turn helps to reduce the pain in the knee joint and helps combat fatigue. Even simple walking can be a good exercise for those suffering from Pellegrini stieda syndrome. In general, person having knee pain can opt for the moderate amount of exercise in order to maintain a healthy body.
