My Path to Financial Independence

You and I may share a dream; complete freedom from the morning commute, answering to a boss and spending our days doing things other people want us to do instead of what we want to do.

Tired of this way of life, I quit my job and decided to become a personal coach. I enjoyed it and it’s tremendously gratifying to help someone fulfill their dreams and achieve breakthroughs in life. I was good at it.

But . . .

I was tied down. I had to be somewhere for someone and quite often that took me from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM some days. I wasn’t so good at setting boundaries and eager to please my clients, I tried to accommodate their schedules. Either way, it was impossible to take off at a moments notice to do what I wanted to do.

It was still a job.

My quest for financial independence brought me to affiliate marketing. What is affiliate marketing? It’s promoting other people’s products and earning a commission on the sales that result.

I don’t take orders. I don’t carry an inventory. I don’t process returns. Or, deal with customer complaints. I don’t have clients and I don’t have to worry about my invoices being paid on time. I simply review products and share them with my subscribers and web site visitors.

This sideline business started slow. There’s a lot to learn and there are a tremendous number of distractions. Yet, through persistence I’ve managed to build a thriving business – a steady stream of income that pays my bills month after month whether I work or not.

And, I know you can do this too.
