Being Here Now: The Key to Being Fully Alive

Why am I here? It’s an age old question and if we explore the possibility that our questions lead us to the core of our raison d’être, why does the obviousness of the inevitable answer elude us.
Is it incredulous to believe that we are here to have joy and to create deliciously? I know that my ‘training’ really tried to etch other beliefs into my world. But the insistent heartbeat, the persistent pulse of my essence beams it out to me again and again and again. You are magnificent! You are amazing! Is it hubris or is it the part of me that’s cloaked in mystery and that was spoken of by mystics and sages? Can all the spiritual traditions be pointing to a through line of wonder, awe and glory instead of sin, sorrow and redemption?
Isn’t that what we experience when we are in flow - vibrantly connected to our inner being? For me flow is about the dance of energy, the rhythm of life, and it partners with me in every moment. I can own it, I can name it, or I can deny it – just like the apostles in the garden of Gethsemane. Its inevitability is echoed throughout my life. Every time I have said, “NO!” it has only brought me pain, disconnection and emptiness. Ah . . . but the YES! is wrapped in deliciousness and delight.
Ever had one of those – “Whoops, there it is” moments? You know the ones I’m talking about. A situation, a relationship, a moment in time
Presence your body!
Feel your feelings!
Be the swirling dance of creational ebb and flow!
Embracing your intensity, living life passionately, savoring the juiciness of your here and now is what it’s all about.
