Most Moms’ think that giving their children juice is a great choice. Unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth! Juice is digested as pure sugar by the body and it trains a child to crave sweets. It can cause candida, which we will address in a future article. And juice has proven to be a big cause of tooth decay.

What then is a better alte
ative? Milk? Many children are allergic to milk and if you understood the ratio of urine and blood that the FDA allows into milk I promise you wouldn’t let your kids touch it. What about water? Water can be a great choice, but the quality can vary and most kids don’t like the plain taste. Here are some things to think about and tips to overcome the problem.

Water is not created equal. Tap water can be full of unhealthy pollutants. Many people are unaware that most brands of bottled water test out to be no better than tap water. Water filtered by osmosis systems has life giving nutrients removed. Ionized Alkaline water is more hydrating because the size and shape of the water molecule cluster is reduced in size and is changed in shape to hexagonal. This size and shape allows the water molecules to pass through your tissues more easily.

When you drink alkaline water, you are drinking water with excess oxygen, not in the form of O2, but in the form of OH-, which is very stable because it is mated with positively ionized alkaline minerals. When the essential alkalizing minerals are ionized your body will be able to absorb and use them much more efficiently.

Researchers and drinkers of Ionized water have found that the water promotes balanced body ph, more energy, strong immune system, improved mental clarity, more oxygen to cells, restored cell function, increased fat burning and disease prevention among other things.

If you have a child or other family member that is resistant to drinking healthy water instead of sweet juice or soda. We recommend you consider the following tips.

You can squeeze half a lemon or lime into the water. This both adds flavor and has an alkalizing effect on the body. For the sake of convenience, I use a pure, powered individually packaged brand called True Lemon or True Lime available from the grocery store or online at www.truelemon.com
ather than add sugar, I use Stevia. Stevia is a natural product that adds sweetness without calories and unlike many artificial low calorie sweeteners, it does not effect the body’s glycemic index. I prefer Sweet Leaf brand, which comes individually package and in flavored drops. They can be found at www.sweetleaf.com

Let’s talk about Sweet Leaf flavored drops! What a summer lifesaver! They have flavors to satisfy any craving; Root Beer, Vanilla Cream, Chocolate Raspberry, Dark Chocolate, English Toffee, Apricot Nectar and more. A few drops and you have great tasting flavored water. Or for ice pops, make the flavored water and freeze in ice cube trays or Popsicle molds. The result is that you have a happy child who has no idea that you have just improved their health and robbed them of their sugar fix at the same time.

People in both Korea and Japan have been drinking Ionized Alkaline water for over 20 years with amazing results. The medical industry has found ionizing water machines to be so successful for improving health that the machines are approved medical devices in those countries.

Doctors recommend that every person drink 1 liter of water per day per 30 pounds of body weight. In addition to many other benefits, this will removed toxins from your body and set you on a path to health, healing, and wholeness.
