This book review was provided by Joe Farcht, the Official Guide to Leadership Skills. Leadership Skills are the tools and traits acquired to facilitate guiding or a directing a group, most commonly toward a shared goal. nnJoe Farcht has identified Remarkable Leadership: Unleashing Your Leadership Potential One Skill at a Time by Kevin Eikenberry as a valuable resource for people interested in leadership skills and it is avaialble through Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.nnBook DescriptionnRemarkable Leadership is a practical handbook written for anyone who wants to hone the skills they need to become an outstanding leader. In this groundbreaking book, Kevin Eikenberry outlines a framework and a mechanism for both learning new things and applying current knowledge in a thoughtful and practical way. Eikenberry provides a guide through the most important leadership competencies, offers a proven method for learning leadership skills, and shows approaches for applying these skills in today’s multitasking and overloaded world of work. The book explores real-world concerns such as focus, limited time, incremental improvement, and how we learn. nnThis is a great book that shares Kevin's wisdom regarding key leadership skills and how to improve them if you already have them, and how to get them if you don't. nnMore important, though, is the understanding that true leaders think and lead outside of the box; they are not bound by what worked yesterday or even this morning. Because of this freedom of thought, they are able to find unique solutions to challenging issues. Add to that, intelligent personnel management and savvy asset management, and you will find yourself on the path to more effective leadership. nnIf you have found most leadership books cut from similar cloth, you will not find this book to be. This is the most interesting book on leadership to come down the pike, and certainly the most valuable, in my opinion. nnIf you feel like a natural leader, but you are unsure how to separate yourself from the rest of the pack, buy this book to learn how. If you are currently working in a leadership position and things just aren't going the way you want them to, read this book. If you find yourself in neither of the situations mentioned above, but you want to be, read this book. The author will guide you step by step up the yellow brick road to your own leadership success. n
