In this book I have highlighted a very serious custom of Pakistan named, rukhsati',which means sending off girls with their husbands on the wedding day. But in reality it feels like girls are the burden and guests in their parents home and are supposed to leave it one day to live finally in their husband or in-laws home. Girls should not come back to their parents home, even in case of severe need or problem.
Girls listen the statements like: you should have good manners, otherwise you will not be selected for marriage, you need to learn cooking techniques to keep your husband and his family happy, you cannot stay in your parents home forever and many more. Girls think it is their parents sacrifice if they are bringing them up with care and money. Girls do not expect the same rights for them as for boys. Girls are pitiable and vulnerable to many diseases due to such tradition.
Not only this tradition kills half of the population's general well-being, rather it makes them less important, less worthy, less confident, less energetic and less creative. As a result, they could not find good prospects of life. They could not continue their career if their husband or in-laws do not permit to do so. They usually wait for the approval of their husbands or in-laws to take a step ahead.
Long story short, I have written a book titled,'rukhsati' that will account for all of the troubles to women in Pakistan due to this tradition. Would you like to have a look on it? Then please go to the amazon and find an ebook with the title, 'rukhsati' by Dr.Mona. Hope you will like it.
