CAD draftsmen are a new breed of drafter that use special software to design 3D models. These 3D drawings can be used for architecture, mechanical, civil, MEP, CNC, Inventions, prototypes, and more types of technical drawing. In the past the place to save information was on the blueprint, so now there are a lot of companies who need to convert their blueprints into CAD files. These files are easy to work with, and make the life of a Drafter less complex. 3D Modeling Services 3D modeling services use CAD software to develop their 3D designs. These companies can be found online like eLineDesign.com or can be found local to your area. Most will only specialize in field such as architecture, or structural engineering. Once a 3D model is completed the CAD designers can apply surface textures and backgrounds to give the rendering a life like appearance. Also some companies will give you software to download, so while your 3D model is being created you can view it from home. This also allows the customer to fix any mistakes. CAD Designs CAD software has changed the way engineering drawings are formed forever. For instance, in architectural work the CAD designer will use a single command to draw walls, windows, doors, slabs, ceilings, stairwells, etc. into the 3D drawing. In mechanical software the CAD designers will use commands for drilling holes, cutting out areas, adding thread, and much more. It’s not as simple as I make it sound, but the software has made leaps and bounds in technological advancements. CAD Conversion A lot of work in the drafting field has come from the practice of CAD conversion. CAD conversion is the process of taking older 2D blueprints, or any other type of file, and converting it into a CAD file. These files are mainly made up of DWG, and DWF formats. To do this a CAD designer must input all the information from the original document into the CAD software where it’s converted. The reason this is done is so that they may be updated with greater ease and less time. When it takes the CAD draftsmen less time to complete the update, it saves the owner money. A CAD file is extremely versatile when compared to a blueprint. When a blueprint has to be updated a lot, a whole new drawing must be done. Whereas when a drawing on a CAD file has to be updated the draftsmen simply opens the file, and works from there. He or She has tools at their disposal that allow for accurate lines and measurements to be done efficiently. On top of all this CAD files can be sent online. When the drawing is complete the CAD drafting service will email a copy of the file to the owner directly. It can also go directly to the nearest printing shop , and be picked up at the owners conveyance. . If you would like to lean more about CAD visit CAD Drafting Services Thank You

To understand what a paper(blueprints) to CAD conversion is you must first understand what CAD is. These three letters represent Computer Aided Design or Drafting. In the past about ten or more years ago the main form of technical drawing or drafting was done with several different instruments that would perform task like measuring, creating arcs and circles, offsetting lines that are parallel and perpendicular, and creating any type of line you can imagine. Nowadays we use CAD to handle all of this work due to the precision, accuracy, and general ease of design it allows.r

If you’re a person that deals in any kind of design business I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase CAD somewhere or have seen it in some sort of literature. The letters in CAD have a special meaning that is known as Computer Aided Design or Drafting. This is basically designing technical drawings with the assistance of computer software. This software has been around for a while now, but is just now being recognized as much as it’s counterpart the drafting table. This practice of using a drafting board to design blueprints is still used today, but has nowhere near the presence it once had.

The split level was conceived for the sloping or hilly lot. It takes advantage of what might otherwise prove to be a troublesome difference in elevation and uses it to advantage. As a general rule, a split level should not be built on a flat lot. Mounding up soil in front of the high section to give the appearance of a hill usually yields poor results.r

To start off with we need to explain what CAD is if you don’t already know. Years ago before everyone had a PC or personal computer, drafting was done with a drafting table and a number of other instruments like the ruler, compass, and T-square. Since technology has spread, so have the techniques we use to design blueprints and other 3D Models. The majority of the drafting community and drafting professionals use CAD or Computer Aided Design.
