With so many ways to grow your new home based business online, article writing, is one of the easiest and incredibly effective for generating leads, if done correctly.
In this article, I’m going to share easy tips on how you can use article writing to attract potential customers and business builders to your home based business.
It doesn’t matter what business you’re in or what services you’re offering – writing helpful content and sharing it with your target market – is more likely to get their attention than selling to them directly.
Why?
Because no one likes to be sold to and we avoid pushy salespeople.
However, if someone offers you a useful article, report, free ebook, or any other content material related to a problem you want answers for … you’re more open to receiving the info, wouldn’t you?
With this in mind, here are some easy tips to get you started with article writing:
#1 Write what you know
The key is to stick with topics that are related to your niche business. If you’re selling organic skin care and beauty products, you want to write about topics related to organic skin care products.
#2 Grab your reader’s attentio
One of the most important aspects of writing is getting your reader’s attention, which isn’t always easy, and inspire them to do something once they’re done reading.
The end goal is for your readers to take action i.e. visit your site and sign up for your email newsletter.
#3 Build a list of prospects
Building a list of prospects that are interested in your business is vital to growing your home based business online. Although sharing your knowledge is important for your personal brand but the goal is to grow your business.
Without new leads, you don’t have any prospects to work with. Always approach article writing with the end goal in mind. And that is to build a list of prospects.
#4 Leverage social networks
Quality content is one part of growing your business online. You need to actively participate on various online communities such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to drive traffic back to your site.
Utilize all of the automatic functions such as RSS feed so your blog posts get updated automatically to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
#5 Gather, organize, and write
It’s probably not lack of ideas, but getting those ideas out of your head, is a challenge for you. Start organizing your thoughts and get them down on paper or your computer.
If you’ve never written a blog post, it seems daunting at first. I know it was for me. I kept going back and forth whether to hit that “publish”. At some point, you have to just go with it, and start.
Every day that you’re not using article writing and marketing, you’re missing out on the potential prospects that are online, searching for product or business information in your niche business.
Writing is a process so be patient with yourself as you’re learning this new strategy. It’s well worth your time if you commit to writing and make it a part of your overall online marketing strategy.
