Why do so many people struggle with attracting what they wish into their lives?
Well there are a couple of things they fail to understand about the law of attraction works which put a spanner in the whole thing.
For real and sustainable change to take place, we need experience it, feel it on a cellular level, and through the wisdom of the body – through our senses and emotions. That involves also working with the subconscious. Many people just work on the mental level and wonder why it doesn’t work.
Your subconscious mind works in symbolism and imagery and thus, whether we know it or not, we’re constantly feeding that self image with impressions from the conscious mind, which many times tend to be negative. The images we create determine how we also think and feel and so then influence our response - the action that we will take. If you knew that effectively 80% of what you think, feel and do is controlled by the subconscious mind, and that most of that is put in place by the age of 12, it’s pretty clear that accessing the subconscious is the key to change.
Many people lack the ability to manifest what they wish because they fear and unknowingly visualize failure, rejection or loss. Simply feeling and visualizing failure is enough to create it.
We need to feel empowered and in charge of our own destiny. Poverty consciousness, scarcity consciousness, comes when we feel powerless and at the whim of fate. It comes when we relate to the outer environments as if they are pushing me around and I don’t have any say in the matter.
The problem that many people encounter at that point is, they go deeper into it. They analyze it. Why did this happen? It’s not fair? What’s wrong with me? Before long we’re caught in a loop of negativity. What we need is to shift our awareness to something else. Something that is working. Something that makes us feel good. And - and here’s the big and: It needs to be felt, experienced, not just thought about.
There are really three basic components to creating sustainable change:
1. Feel it, experience it. The vision needs to be compelling, engaging on all sensory levels, emotionally, spiritually, mentally.
2. Dialogue, share with others - the vision will grow legs. Write it down also. 90% of the manifestation process happens when we give voice to our deepest truest vision. Speaking and writing from that place of inner clarity sets the wheels of receiving turning.
3. Committed action. Once you’re clear and passionate about your vision, your actions will flow from a place of inspiration. You’ll have energy. You’ll make it happen.
So what are some simple tools to create a good energy and feel good?
1. Gratitude - this is the antithesis of resentment and frustration. It creates an excellent environment for manifestation. Each day, simply writing down 10 things you are grateful for will change your experience of that day. You’ll feel lighter, happier and have a lot more fun! Possibilities will come your way.
2. Generosity - it’s true that even the simplest acts of kindness make a huge difference to your world and that of others around you. A smile, a hug, a pat on the back, an unexpected gift or card. Simple things - big shifts internally.
3. Exercise. It’s amazing how a good brisk walk or run can shake off the cobwebs. And movement is a perfect metaphor. If I want movement in my life I need to move my body. Who doesn’t feel great after a good workout? And better still if you’re outside, breathing in fresh air. The very act of going outside. Being in a different place can offer a new perspective on your life and shake away the blues.
4. Meditation - This is reflection time. Create a time in the day where you can be with yourself. Quiet time is vital for the human spirit. Even walking quietly can be a form of meditation. Be present to the senses - what do you see, hear, feel. Where is your eye drawn? What touches you? Moves your heart?
There’s plenty more to share about how to get clear on your vision and make it more compelling but the first step that we’ve talked about today is creating a fertile environment for that vision to take root and grow strongnn… more later!
