If you decide upon COSTA DEL SOL HOLIDAYS you will see that it is the most developed and density populated area of the coast of Andalucia, stretching for 150 kilometres of the Malaga province. Its primary resorts are Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Torremolinos and Marbella. The region is extremely well-liked by vacationers, many have moved there permanently, buying their very own properties there. The coast has got the nickname "Costa del Golf" as it has the greatest quantity of first class golf courses. You will find also many amusement parks including water parks, safari parks, go karting tracks and public gardens to entertain locals and tourists alike. For individuals who enjoy lively nights they can visit Benalmadena and Marbella's Puerto Banus for stylish and classy bars which don't really get started until almost midnight. The Costa del Sol and Malaga province also hosts the best flamenco and bullfighting shows and some great tapas bars and restaurants. You will find also many historic sites to see. Costa del Sol’s history goes back to the Phoenicians. The coast continued to be populated by the Greeks, Romans and Moors who've all left their mark on its culture and architecture. Most cities started as fortifications and, through the years, many progressed into agriculture producers of essential olive oil, goat's milk and various vegetables. Towards the east of Malaga, the Sierra Almijara range joins the coves spreading along the seaside plain with urban landscapes and traditional agriculture around it. Ronda is a towering plateau situated within the mountain tops some 48 kilometres inland from Marbella. Ronda is a pretty and historic town. It proves popular for day trippers with its coffee shops, bookstores and El Tajo, a plunging river gorge which divides the medieval sections from the 1700s region of the town. The gorge includes a stone bridge spanning it: Puerto Nuevo, which was once a prison and has some good sights along with the pathway El Parador. Ronda can also be noted for its bull ring which is the earliest in the country, plus its museum is available to the general public. Costa del sol's infrastructure is well organised. The brand new autopista motorway gives access from Malaga to Estepona and Gibraltar. You will find links inland to Seville, Granada and Cordoba. That old coastal road offers good sights too if a little reduced. The airport terminal is ten minutes away from Malaga and is within half an hour of numerous other popular resorts. You will find plane tickets back and forth from many major metropolitan areas throughout Europe. Malaga City has the Maria Zambrano stop with routes to Seville and Cordoba along with other metropolitan areas in addition to good bus routes. Costa del Sol beaches are suitable for sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts alike due to the climate. This is due to its mountain system that shelters it from the interior winds, which creates warm winter temperatures and during the summer season don't get impacted by the highest temperatures. The sea bathing months are not completely limited to summer though as you will find over 300 days of sunshine each year normally. The kinds of beaches are very varied, from wide sandy ones with all of facilities and a promenade to secluded rarely used ones with stunning landscapes. There are nudist beaches in Estepona, Benalmadena, Cabopino (Marbella) and Torre del Marly too. In most other beaches some nudism is tolerated as because of the reduced quantity of beachgoers while topless bathing is common throughout the area. When you are on COSTA DEL SOL HOLIDAYS you will see many beaches with the Blue Flag status that is the EU standard of excellent water and sand quality and the beaches that satisfy that standard are the most crowded in summer time. Those situated close to the large cities also have finest quantity of facilities such as toilets, showers, beach bars, children's playgrounds, jet skis and water-ski rental and first-aid stations.
